Chapter 1: Unwelcome Sparks
Roman hadn’t expected to run into Igor, let alone with Katya on his arm, the woman who’d shattered his heart two years ago. The sight of her—still fierce, still breathtaking with her sharp cheekbones and piercing green eyes—hit him like a punch to the gut. She barely acknowledged him with a curt nod, her lips curling in disdain, while Igor clapped him on the shoulder, all grins and nostalgia.
“Man, it’s been ages! You’ve gotta come over, Roman. We’ve got a place nearby. Let’s catch up over some vodka,” Igor insisted, his voice booming with enthusiasm. Katya rolled her eyes but didn’t protest, her silence a blade sharper than any words.
Their apartment was a cramped, dimly lit space, the air thick with the scent of cheap cologne and lingering cigarette smoke. On the kitchen table, a bottle of vodka sat like a centerpiece of bad decisions. Shot after shot, Igor’s laughter grew louder, his tongue looser, while Katya lingered in the doorway, arms crossed, her gaze slicing through Roman every time their eyes met.
“You look like you’ve seen a ghost, Roman,” she finally snapped, her voice dripping with mockery. “Still pining over ancient history?”
He smirked, leaning back in his chair, the vodka burning a reckless path through his veins. “History has a way of repeating itself, Katya. Or haven’t you noticed how some flames never die?”
Her eyes narrowed, but before she could retort, Igor chuckled, pulling out his phone. “Speaking of flames, check this out, man.” He slid the device across the table, away from Katya’s line of sight. Roman’s pulse quickened as the screen lit up with images—Katya, bare and unapologetic, in poses that made his breath hitch. Then a video, raw and explicit, her moans echoing through the tiny speaker. His jeans tightened uncomfortably, a heat spreading through him like wildfire.
“What the hell are you doing?” Katya’s voice cut through, sharp as a whip. She stormed over, her face flushing crimson as she snatched at the phone. “Igor, are you out of your damn mind? This isn’t a fucking trophy to show off!”
Igor raised his hands, a lazy grin on his face. “Babe, relax. It’s just Roman. He’s cool. And let’s be real, you look hot as hell. Why not let him see the real thing?”
Her jaw dropped, fury and humiliation warring in her expression. “You’re insane if you think I’m some kind of exhibit for your little boys’ club.”
But Igor’s tone shifted, smooth and coaxing, his hand resting on her arm. “Come on, Katya. Just a little fun. No harm done. Let’s give him a show—nothing more.”
Roman watched, his mouth dry, as her resistance wavered under Igor’s persistence. The tension in the room was electric, a dangerous current buzzing between them. Finally, she huffed, her glare burning holes into both of them. “Fine. But I’m not some puppet. You don’t get to touch, Roman. And Igor, you’re on thin fucking ice.”
Igor winked at Roman, leaning back with a smug look. “Go on, man. Tell her what to do. She’ll listen. Won’t you, babe?”
Katya’s lips pressed into a thin line, but she didn’t argue, her defiance simmering just beneath the surface. Roman’s heart pounded, a dark thrill coursing through him as he stood, his voice low and deliberate. “Alright, Katya. Let’s start slow. Take off that jacket. Show us what you’ve been hiding.”
Her fingers hesitated at the zipper, her eyes locked on his, a challenge in their depths. But she complied, shrugging the fabric off her shoulders, revealing the tight black tank top beneath. Roman’s gaze raked over her, hungry, as the air grew heavier, charged with unspoken desire. He stepped closer, his voice dropping to a husky whisper. “Now turn around. Let me see that ass. Bend over the table—just a little.”
Her breath hitched, a flicker of something—anger, arousal, he couldn’t tell—crossing her face. But she did it, leaning forward, her curves on display, taunting him. Igor let out a low whistle, and Roman felt himself growing hard, the ache almost painful. The room was a pressure cooker, ready to explode, as he prepared to push her further, to test just how far this dangerous game could go.
