Reluctant Groom, Insistent Bride: The Unconventional Love Story of Priyanka and Rajendra

Chapter One: An Unconventional Proposal

Priyanka sighed as she looked at her father, Rajendra, lying unconscious on the bed. The room was a mess, with empty bottles of alcohol scattered on the floor and the smell of stale liquor filling the air. It had been like this every night since her mother's death from cancer, and Priyanka was exhausted.

She gently cleaned her father's face, wiping away the remnants of the previous night. As she worked, she heard a groan coming from the bed. Rajendra's eyes fluttered open, and he looked at her with a mixture of confusion and embarrassment.

"Priyanka, what happened?" he mumbled, his voice thick with sleep and alcohol.

Priyanka took a deep breath before speaking. "You had too much to drink again, and you forced yourself on me," she said, her voice steady and firm.

Rajendra's eyes widened in shock. "I-I didn't mean to," he stammered. "I'm so sorry, Priyanka. I didn't realize..."

They sat in silence for a moment, both of them lost in their own thoughts. Priyanka felt a mix of emotions - anger, sadness, and disappointment. But there was something else there too, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"I've been thinking," she began, her voice soft but determined. "About our future, and what we can do to make things better."

Rajendra looked at her, his expression wary. "What are you saying, Priyanka?"

"I'm saying that I want to marry you," she said, her voice clear and strong.

Rajendra blinked, surprised by her words. "What? But why?"

"I want to take care of you," Priyanka said, her voice filled with conviction. "I want to bear your children, and give us both a fresh start. We can leave this village and start anew."

Rajendra was silent for a moment, his mind racing. He had never expected to hear those words from his daughter, and he didn't know how to react. But as he looked at her, he saw the strength and determination in her eyes, and he felt his heart swell with emotion.

"Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yes, I'll marry you."

They decided to keep their marriage a secret for the time being, unsure of how the villagers would react. They knew that their arrangement was unconventional, but they were determined to make it work.

As they prepared for their new life together, they couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions - shame, guilt, but also a sense of hope. Their journey as a married couple would not be easy, but they were ready to face whatever challenges came their way.

The chapter ended with them sharing a tender moment, as they embraced in their small village home. Their unconventional arrangement may not have been perfect, but they were determined to make it work, no matter what.
