Chapter 1: Dance Floor Heat
Jack adjusted his collar for the third time as he stood near the bar of the pulsing dance club, the bass thumping through his chest like a second heartbeat. He wasn’t built for this scene—neon lights, sweaty bodies, and music so loud it drowned out rational thought. But Sarah, his sweet, naive wife, had practically begged him to take her newly divorced sister, Brandi, out for a night of fun after she’d been called into work last minute. 'Please, Jack, show her a good time,' Sarah had whispered, her eyes full of trust. He’d nodded, though every fiber of him screamed discomfort—not just at the club, but at the thought of being alone with Brandi, whose smoldering presence could ignite a room without effort.
Brandi sidled up to him, her dark hair cascading over bare shoulders, a sheepish smile playing on her lips. 'Thanks for this, Jack. I know you’re not exactly Mr. Dance Floor,' she teased, her voice a sultry purr over the music. She wore a tight black dress that hugged every curve, and Jack had to force his eyes to stay on her face.
'Yeah, well, I’m doing this for Sarah,' he shot back, though his smirk betrayed him. 'But don’t think I won’t call you out if you step on my toes.'
She laughed, a sound like velvet, and tugged him toward the dance floor. 'Come on, big guy. Let’s see if you’ve got any rhythm under that stiff exterior.'
A couple of drinks later, Brandi was a different woman—playful, bold, her hips swaying with the beat as she danced circles around Jack. He couldn’t help but notice the way her body moved, fluid and confident, drawing eyes from every corner. Then the club emcee’s voice boomed over the speakers, calling for a sexy dance-off. Before Jack could blink, Brandi was pushed onto the stage with two other women, her grin wicked as she owned the spotlight. Her moves were electric, hips rolling, ass shaking with a ferocity that had the crowd roaring—and Jack’s throat dry.
Back on the floor, the energy shifted. Brandi pressed against him, her body grinding into his, and Jack’s hands instinctively found her hips, pulling her closer. 'Damn, Brandi, you trying to kill me out here?' he muttered, his voice rough.
She tilted her head back, her lips brushing his ear. 'Just keeping you on your toes, Jack. Don’t tell me you’re not enjoying this.'
Before he could retort, a new couple caught their eye. The woman, Lacey, locked onto Jack with a heated stare, her gaze practically stripping him bare. Her partner smirked at Brandi, a challenge in his eyes. The next song hit, and suddenly Lacey was there, grinding against Brandi, who didn’t hesitate to match her energy, their bodies pressed tight. Jack’s jaw clenched as he watched, torn between shock and something hotter, deeper.
Then Lacey switched, her curves now against Jack, her breath hot on his neck as she whispered, 'You two make a great couple. But me and you? We’d be unstoppable. C’mon, get hard for me.' Her words were a dare, her touch a spark, and Jack felt his control slipping as Brandi’s eyes burned into him from just feet away.
Lacey and her man vanished into the crowd with a laugh, leaving Jack and Brandi alone in the crush of bodies, the music pounding harder, the air thick with unspoken tension. They danced on, closer now, her body dripping with sweat, his hands gripping her tighter. 'We should head back,' he finally growled, though his voice lacked conviction.
Brandi’s smirk was pure mischief. 'Not yet, Jack. The night’s just getting started.'
Back at the house, Sarah was asleep upstairs, oblivious. Brandi insisted on one last drink, her eyes glinting with intent as she disappeared, only to return in one of Sarah’s dresses—too short, too revealing, scandalously clinging to her frame with nothing underneath. 'Lacey’s idea,' she purred, stepping close. 'Now strip down to your boxers and sit. Let’s see how much rhythm you’ve really got.'
Jack’s breath hitched, his resolve crumbling as she straddled him, her movements slow, deliberate, a lap dance that promised to unravel him completely. 'Brandi, we can’t—' he started, but her finger on his lips silenced him.
'Shh. Just feel,' she commanded, her voice a weapon, her body a fire he couldn’t escape.
