Rose's Thorn: When Powerful Women Become Pawns in Billionaire's Games or Anon's Agenda: Summer's Sizzling Surrender to Save Beacon Academy

Chapter One: A Business Proposition

Summer Rose was lost in thought, her sharp green eyes scanning over the documents scattered across her desk. The head of Beacon Academy was used to dealing with high-stakes situations, but the proposal in front of her now was unlike any other. She had dedicated her life to building this institution, and the idea of losing it all was almost too much to bear.

Just as she was about to make a decision, her secretary buzzed in. "Ms. Rose, Mr. Eric Anon is here to see you. He says it's urgent."

Summer's heart skipped a beat. Eric Anon, the CEO of Anontech, was known for his ruthless business tactics and his insatiable appetite for power. She had heard rumors that he was looking to buy the land that Beacon was built on, but she had always dismissed them as mere gossip.

She took a deep breath and composed herself before calling out, "Send him in."

The door swung open, and in walked Eric Anon, a tall man with piercing blue eyes and a confident stride. He extended his hand towards Summer, a charming smile on his face. "Ms. Rose, it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard great things about the work you're doing here at Beacon."

Summer hesitated for a moment before shaking his hand. "Mr. Anon, what brings you here today?"

Eric took a seat across from Summer, his eyes never leaving hers. "I'll cut to the chase, Ms. Rose. I'm interested in purchasing the land that Beacon is built on. I believe it would be a valuable asset to Anontech."

Summer's eyes narrowed. "This land is not for sale. Beacon is more than just a building. It's a symbol of hope for the next generation of huntsmen and huntresses."

Eric chuckled. "I admire your dedication, Ms. Rose, but I'm afraid I have evidence of some of your past mistakes that could ruin your reputation and Beacon's. I suggest you reconsider my offer."

Summer's heart pounded in her chest. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. How could Eric have evidence of her past mistakes? She had worked so hard to put those memories behind her.

Furious, she demanded, "What do you want in return for keeping the evidence hidden?"

Eric leaned back in his chair, a smug look on his face. "I propose that you become my personal assistant for a year, handling my personal and professional matters. In return, I'll keep the evidence hidden and ensure that Beacon and your family are protected."

Summer was offended and insulted. The idea of working for Eric Anon was repulsive, but she knew that she had no other choice. She had to protect Beacon and her family at all costs.

After a moment of contemplation, she reluctantly agreed to Eric's terms. "But I want it clear that I will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior. I'm here to do a job, and nothing more."

Eric smirked. "I have no doubt that you'll excel in your new role, Ms. Rose. Here's a contract for you to sign. I look forward to working with you."

Summer signed the contract, but not before adding a clause that allowed her to leave the position if Eric broke any of the agreed-upon terms. Eric, impressed by Summer's tenacity, agreed to the clause and left the office, leaving Summer feeling both humiliated and determined to protect Beacon and her family.

She spent the rest of the day going over the details of her new position, feeling a mix of anger and frustration towards Eric. She couldn't help but wonder what the next year would hold, and how she would balance her duties as the head of Beacon with her new role as Eric's personal assistant.

As she left the office, Summer made a mental note to stay one step ahead of Eric and not let him take advantage of her. She knew that she had made a deal with the devil, but she was ready to do whatever it takes to protect Beacon and her family.
