**Chapter 1: Unexpected Collision**
The late afternoon sun hung low over the cracked asphalt of Maple Street, casting long shadows as Riley trudged home, her steel-toed boots scuffing against the pavement. Her cropped hair was damp with sweat from a long day at the garage, her tank top clinging to her toned frame. She was a storm of pent-up frustration—her boss had chewed her out for a botched repair, and her knuckles itched for something, anything, to release the tension.
Meanwhile, across the street, Ethan struggled with two overstuffed grocery bags, his delicate frame nearly buckling under the weight. His pastel sweater and tight jeans screamed 'easy target,' and his soft, doe-like eyes darted nervously as he tried to balance the load. He was just doing a favor for his mom, but the universe had other plans.
Riley’s gaze locked onto him as she crossed the street, her stride purposeful. 'Hey, pretty boy,' she called out, her voice rough but laced with a teasing edge. 'Need a hand, or are you just gonna tip over like a damn domino?'
Ethan blinked, startled, nearly dropping a bag. 'I-I’ve got it,' he stammered, his cheeks flushing pink. 'Just… groceries. For my mom.'
Riley smirked, closing the distance between them. She towered over him, her presence raw and commanding. 'You look like you’re about to snap in half. Gimme one of those before you cry about it.' She snatched a bag from his trembling arms, her calloused fingers brushing his soft skin. The contact sent a jolt through her, and she caught the faint scent of lavender off him. Damn, he was too pretty for his own good.
'Thanks,' Ethan mumbled, avoiding her piercing stare. 'You don’t have to—'
'Shut it,' Riley cut him off, her tone sharp but playful. 'I’m not doing this for your gratitude. I’m doing it ‘cause I’ve had a shitty day, and carrying your crap might stop me from punching a wall.'
Ethan’s lips quirked into a shy smile. 'Well, I’m glad I could be… useful?'
Riley snorted, her eyes glinting with something dangerous. 'Oh, sweetheart, you’ve got no idea how useful you could be.' She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a husky murmur. 'I’ve got stress to burn, and you look like just the thing to take the edge off.'
His breath hitched, eyes widening. 'W-what do you mean?'
She leaned in, her lips curling into a wicked grin. 'I mean, I’ve got fists that need a purpose, and you’ve got a body begging to be handled. What do you say, pretty boy? Wanna help me unwind?'
Ethan’s face turned scarlet, but there was a flicker of curiosity in his gaze. 'I… I don’t even know your name.'
'Riley,' she growled, setting the grocery bag down on the sidewalk. Her hand shot out, gripping his chin with a firm but careful touch, tilting his face up to meet hers. 'And I don’t need yours to know you’re getting hard just thinking about it.'
His gasp was audible, and Riley’s smirk widened as she felt the tension shift between them. Her other hand slid to his waist, pulling him closer until their bodies were nearly flush. She could feel the heat radiating off him, his slender frame trembling under her grip. Her own pulse quickened, a raw, hungry need building in her core.
'This is crazy,' Ethan whispered, but his voice was thick with something that wasn’t fear. 'We’re in the middle of the street.'
'Then let’s take it somewhere private,' Riley shot back, her eyes dark with intent. 'Unless you’re too scared to see how wet I can get just from the thought of using you.'
His lips parted, a shaky breath escaping as he nodded, almost imperceptibly. Riley’s grin turned feral as she grabbed his hand, pulling him toward the alley just off Maple Street. The groceries could wait. Right now, she was a predator, and he was the sweetest prey she’d ever hunted. She was already imagining how he’d look under her, panting and sweating, her fists finding a rhythm that would leave them both dripping with need.
