Ruslana sat at her desk, staring blankly at the pristine sheet of paper in front of her. She sighed, running her fingers through her dark hair as she tried to gather her thoughts. This was it, the moment she had been building up to for weeks. She wanted to make sure she got it just right.
With a determined expression, Ruslana picked up her pen and began to write. Her hand moved quickly across the page, the words flowing effortlessly from her mind to the paper. She couldn't help but smile to herself as she wrote, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness bubbling up inside of her.
After a few minutes, Ruslana finished the letter and set her pen down. She took a deep breath as she read over what she had written, her heart racing with anticipation. But as she re-read the letter, her smile faded. Something wasn't quite right. It didn't sound like her.
With a frustrated huff, Ruslana crumpled up the paper and threw it in the trash. She couldn't believe she had messed it up. She had been so sure she had gotten it right the first time. She took a deep breath and started again, taking her time with each word. She wanted to make sure she got it just right.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Ruslana finished the letter. She re-read it, her heart racing with excitement. This was it. She couldn't believe she was actually doing this. She folded the letter and addressed it to her crush, her hands shaking slightly as she wrote his name.
Taking a deep breath, Ruslana sealed the envelope and grabbed her keys. She couldn't just sit there and wait for a response. She needed to do something. She needed to take action.
Ruslana walked to the post office, her mind racing with thoughts of what he might think when he read the letter. She couldn't help but feel a sense of relief as she dropped the letter in the mailbox and turned to leave. It was out of her hands now.
As she walked back to her apartment, Ruslana couldn't wipe the smile off of her face. She felt like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. She couldn't wait for him to read the letter and see what she had to say.
When Ruslana arrived home, her roommate was waiting for her. "Well, well, well, look who's back," she said with a playful smirk. "You're looking awfully pleased with yourself. Did you finally muster up the courage to ask him out?"
Ruslana rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but laugh. "Maybe," she said coyly. "I might have sent him a little letter. Nothing too crazy."
Her roommate raised an eyebrow. "A letter, huh? Well, I'll be interested to see how that turns out. You better hope he feels the same way."
Ruslana shrugged. "I can handle it either way. I'm not going to let him control my happiness. I'm in charge of my own destiny."
Her roommate laughed. "That's the spirit. I have no doubt you'll handle whatever comes your way. Just don't forget about me when you're off living your happily ever after."
Ruslana smiled. "Of course not. You'll always be my best friend, no matter what."
The two of them spent the rest of the day in good spirits, laughing and joking as they went about their day. Ruslana couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as she thought about the letter and what might happen next. She couldn't wait to see what the future held.
As she went to bed that night, Ruslana couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. She couldn't wait to see what would happen next. She was in charge of her own destiny, and she was ready to see where it would take her.
