Sage lay on the bed, her eyes scanning the pages of her latest book as Cater sat cross-legged on the floor, completely engrossed in his video game. The room was cozy and warm, filled with the soft glow of the lamp on the nightstand.
After a few moments of comfortable silence, Sage hesitantly cleared her throat. "Hey, Cater?"
Cater paused his game, his eyes flicking up to meet Sage's. "Hmm?"
Sage fidgeted with the corner of her book, feeling a sudden surge of nervousness. "I was thinking... have you ever tried... you know, anal?"
Cater's eyes widened, and he accidentally paused his game. "Uh, wow. I wasn't expecting that."
Sage rolled her eyes, playfully insulted by his reaction. "Oh, come on. I'm just trying to have an open and honest conversation here."
Cater quickly compos himself, reassuring Sage with a gentle smile. "Of course, I'm open to trying new things. I just want to make sure you're comfortable with it."
Sage nodded, admitting her nerves. "I am. I mean, I'm a little scared, but I want to try it with you."
Cater's smile grew wider, and he agreed, insisting they take it slow. "Absolutely. We'll take it at your pace, and if you ever want to stop, just say the word."
Sage teased him, calling him a "worrywart," but Cater just laughed, admitting he just wanted to make sure she enjoyed herself.
Sage thanked him for being so understanding, and the two shared a kiss. Cater suggested they do some research together to make sure they were both prepared, and Sage agreed.
The rest of the night was spent researching and discussing what they had learned. Cater playfully asked Sage if she was still nervous, and Sage rolled her eyes, admitting she was.
Cater reassured her once again, promising they would take it slow and that she could stop at any time. Sage smiled, thanking him for being so patient and understanding.
The two shared another kiss and fell asleep in each other's arms, their minds filled with anticipation and excitement for what was to come.
