Samantha's Sadistic Pendant: Revenge of the Busty Ex

### Chapter One: The Booby Trap

The elevator dinged, and I stepped out into the pristine hallway of Samantha’s upscale building, my palms sweaty and my heart doing a jittery tap dance. I’d been naive enough to believe her text—*“Let’s bury the hatchet, Jake. Come over. 8 PM.”*—was genuine. Our breakup had been a dumpster fire of epic proportions, but I figured enough time had passed for the ashes to cool. Besides, I owed her at least a conversation. Or so I thought.

Her apartment door loomed ahead, sleek black with a gold knocker that screamed, *“I’ve got money and a grudge to match.”* I knocked twice, shifting on my feet like a nervous schoolboy. The door swung open, and there she was—Samantha, in all her vengeful glory.

“Jake,” she purred, her voice dripping with honey and arsenic. Her eyes raked over me, a smirk tugging at her full, crimson lips. She leaned against the doorframe, her tight black top hugging every new, jaw-dropping curve of her body. Had she always been this... sculpted? Or had the last six months turned her into a goddess of spite? “Didn’t think you’d actually show. Color me impressed.”

I swallowed hard, forcing a grin. “Hey, Sam. Thought I’d take a chance on peace talks. You look... uh, good.”

“Good?” She arched a perfectly manicured brow, stepping aside to let me in. “Oh, sweetheart, I look *divine*. But thanks for the half-assed compliment. Come in, don’t just stand there gawking.”

I shuffled inside, the scent of her jasmine perfume hitting me like a punch. Her apartment was a modern masterpiece—glass, chrome, and sharp edges everywhere, with a vibe that screamed control and calculation. She shut the door with a deliberate click, her heels clacking on the marble floor as she sauntered ahead of me.

“Drink?” she offered, her tone overly sweet, like she was auditioning for the role of doting hostess. She gestured toward a sleek bar cart in the corner, already pouring amber liquid into two crystal glasses before I could answer.

“Sure,” I said, still trying to gauge her mood. “Thanks.”

She handed me the glass, her fingers brushing mine just long enough to make my skin tingle. “To old times,” she toasted, her smirk widening as she clinked her glass against mine. I took a sip, the whiskey burning down my throat, and followed her to a plush velvet couch that looked more like a throne than furniture.

We sat, an awkward silence stretching between us until I cleared my throat. “So, uh, how’ve you been? This place is... wow.”

“Wow?” She laughed, a sharp, tinkling sound that didn’t reach her eyes. “Oh, Jake, you always did have a way with words. I’ve been fabulous, thanks for asking. Rebuilding after a certain *someone* decided to torch my heart. But let’s not dwell on that, hmm? Tell me about you. Still breaking hearts left and right?”

I shifted uncomfortably, her gaze pinning me like a butterfly on a collector’s board. My eyes caught on the strange pendant dangling around her neck—a glowing, amber stone that pulsed faintly, like it had a heartbeat of its own. “What’s that?” I asked, nodding toward it, unable to stop staring.

She glanced down, her fingers brushing the stone with a casual flick. “This? Just a cheap trinket I picked up somewhere. Why, you wanna buy it off me? I’m not cheap, Jake, but you already knew that.”

I chuckled, though it came out more like a cough. “Just curious. It’s... eye-catching.”

Her smile turned razor-sharp as she leaned in closer, her perfume enveloping me. “Careful, darling. Keep staring like that, and I’ll think you’re still hung up on me.” Her voice dipped, taking on a darker edge. “But then, you never could resist a pretty thing, could you? Even when you had no idea how to handle it.”

I felt my face heat up, the air in the room growing heavier. “Sam, come on. That’s ancient history. I thought we were past—”

“Past?” She cut me off, her laugh biting. “Oh, you heartbreaking dimwit. You think I invited you here for a cozy little reunion? To reminisce about the good ol’ days before you fumbled the best thing you ever had?” She leaned back, crossing her legs with deliberate slowness, her eyes glinting with something dangerous. “No, no, Jake. I’ve got other plans.”

My body tensed, though I chalked it up to nerves. I tried to laugh it off, rubbing the back of my neck. “Okay, I get it. You’re still pissed. Can’t we just talk this out?”

She didn’t answer right away. Instead, she snapped her fingers, the sound sharp and commanding. To my shock, my legs moved on their own, pushing me to stand up like some kind of puppet. “What the—” I muttered, my heart racing as I tried to sit back down, only to find my body refusing to obey.

Samantha cackled, a wicked, delighted sound that sent a shiver down my spine. “What’s wrong, darling? Can’t control yourself around me anymore? I thought you were all about *independence* when you walked out on me.”

“Sam, what the hell is this?” I stammered, my voice cracking as I fought against whatever invisible force had me in its grip. My arms twitched, my legs locked in place. I was a damn marionette, and she was holding the strings.

She leaned back, her predatory grin widening as she sipped her drink, utterly unbothered. “Oh, relax, Jake. You look like you’re about to pop a vein. Let’s just say I’ve learned a few... tricks since we last saw each other. And I’m not here to make friends, sweetheart. I’m here to settle a score.”

Before I could process her words, the door to the next room creaked open. A familiar gasp cut through the tension, and my stomach dropped as Lorelei—my current girlfriend—stumbled out. Her face was pale, her movements stiff and unnatural, like she was being puppeted just like me. “Jake?” she whispered, her voice trembling.

Samantha clapped her hands, her glee practically radiating off her. “Oh, perfect timing! The gang’s all here!” She stood, her pendant glowing brighter now, a sinister pulse that seemed to sync with my racing heartbeat. She locked eyes with both of us, her smile pure venom. “Welcome to the real party, my dears. Let’s see how well you play my little games.”

My heart pounded as her laughter echoed through the room, a chilling promise of the twisted night ahead. Too late, I realized I’d walked straight into a trap—a booby trap, courtesy of Samantha’s unrelenting wrath. And damn if she wasn’t enjoying every second of it.
