Sands of Time: When Isabela, the Columbian Demigoddess, Makes History (and Percy's Heart) Stop

The Hourglass Unveiled

The Camp Half-Blood amphitheater was bustling with activity as campers gathered for their daily history lesson. Percy Jackson, a seasoned camper and a proud child of Poseidon, was struggling to answer a particularly challenging question. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a new face in the crowd.

Isabela, a 12-year-old Colombian with sun-kissed skin and dark brown hair, raised her hand and offered the answer with a confident smile. Percy was taken aback, both by her wisdom and her beauty.

"You might be a child of Athena," Percy suggested, intrigued. Isabela's eyes sparkled with curiosity, and for a moment, the amphitheater seemed to hold its breath.

Suddenly, an hourglass symbol appeared above Isabela's head, signifying her divine claim. The crowd watched in awe, whispering amongst themselves. Confusion filled the air as everyone tried to figure out which god could have claimed Isabela.

A thunderous voice boomed, "You have been claimed by Kronos, god of time. All hail Isabela Garcia, daughter of Kronos!"

Shock rippled through the crowd as they stared at Isabela, who remained calm and collected, a smirk playing on her lips. Percy, Leo, Piper, Annabeth, and the rest of the campers exchanged puzzled glances, trying to comprehend the unexpected turn of events.

Jason, Frank, and Hazel shared knowing looks, realizing that the prophecy might be closer to fruition than they thought. Nico, Will, Reyna, and Talia watched in awe, intrigued by the newcomer's powerful lineage.

Isabela, amused by the commotion, playfully taunted Percy, "Looks like you've got some competition, junior." Percy, unfazed by her remark, grinned and replied, "Bring it on, Isabela. I'm always up for a challenge."

Annabeth, ever the intellectual, asked Isabela about her experiences and knowledge of Kronos, engaging in a friendly yet informative conversation. Isabela, with a twinkle in her eyes, shared her wisdom, impressing the group with her understanding of the complex nature of the god of time.

Leo, unable to contain his curiosity, asked Isabela about her powers. To which she replied, "All in good time, Leo. Patience is a virtue, you know."

The group laughed at her playful response, appreciating her wit and charm. As the sun began to set, the group gathered around a bonfire, sharing stories and getting to know one another, with Isabela at the center of it all. The hourglass symbol glowed faintly above her head, a constant reminder of her extraordinary heritage.

As the night wore on, the campers couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. With the return of Kronos' daughter, the prophecy loomed larger than ever. But for now, they chose to enjoy the warmth of the fire and the company of their new friend, knowing that the trials and tribulations of the future would be faced together.

And so, the first chapter of this thrilling tale came to a close, leaving the campers eager for more. The hourglass had been unveiled, and the sands of time were beginning to flow once more.
