Sophia twirled her pasta with her fork, a smirk playing on her lips as she watched Mark across the table. He was so predictable, always ordering the same spaghetti carbonara at their favorite upscale Italian restaurant. She loved him, but sometimes he was just too safe.
"You know, if you didn't order the same thing every time we came here, it might be a little more exciting," Sophia said, raising an eyebrow.
Mark frowned, a little defensively. "Hey, I know what I like. And I like this."
Sophia laughed. "Fair enough. But don't say I didn't warn you when you get bored of this place."
Mark took a deep breath, then blurted out, "Speaking of excitement, Sophia... will you marry me?"
Sophia's fork clattered to her plate, her mouth hanging open in surprise. She had been expecting a proposal eventually, but not like this. Not in the middle of a crowded restaurant.
She recovered quickly, playfully declining the proposal. "Oh, Mark. You're so sweet, but I can't just say yes to something like that without a little more... persuasion."
Mark looked determined. "Okay, then. How about a bet? If I win, you have to marry me. And if you win, you can make all the decisions in our relationship for a month."
Sophia's eyes sparkled with interest. "What kind of bet?"
Mark grinned. "A sex bet. Whoever wins gets to be in control for a month."
Sophia laughed, impressed by Mark's boldness. "Okay, I'll play along. But you better be ready for a challenge. I'm not easy to beat."
Mark nodded, confident. "I know. But I'm determined to win you over, Sophia. I'll do whatever it takes."
Sophia leaned back in her chair, feeling confident and in control. She playfully teased Mark about his chances of winning the bet. "We'll see about that, Mark. I'm not so sure you're up for the challenge."
Mark proved her wrong with a bold move, kissing Sophia passionately in the middle of the restaurant. Sophia was surprised, but also turned on by Mark's boldness. She agreed to continue the bet, and the two left the restaurant in a heated embrace.
