The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the tranquil lake as Lila, a confident woman in her prime, strolled towards the boathouse at the edge of her property. She paused, her eyes narrowing as she took in the state of disrepair. The once-sturdy structure now looked worn and weary, in dire need of a makeover.
Lila's thoughts drifted to Jay, her handsome, married handyman. With a wicked grin, she decided to give him a call. After all, who better to handle the job?
Minutes later, the rumble of an old truck announced Jay's arrival. He hopped out, greeting Lila with a friendly wave and a lopsided smile that sent a shiver down her spine. She couldn't help but notice the outdated overalls he wore, a stark contrast to his rugged charm.
"Lila, always a pleasure," Jay said, his eyes twinkling with amusement as she inspected his outfit.
"And you, Jay. But next time, maybe leave the overalls at home?" she teased, earning a hearty chuckle from the handyman.
As they moved on to discuss the boathouse remodeling project, Lila allowed herself to indulge in a shameless display of flirtation. Jay, however, remained steadfast in his professionalism, a challenge Lila found irresistible.
"How about a drink to seal the deal?" Lila suggested, her voice dripping with innuendo. Jay hesitated, sensing her intentions, but eventually acquiesced.
Seated across from each other, they chatted amicably. Lila took the opportunity to compliment Jay's muscular physique, her eyes gleaming with appreciation. He blushed, modesty getting the better of him, and Lila chuckled at his bashfulness.
"And what about your husband, Lila? Does he approve of this little project?" Jay asked, attempting to steer the conversation back on track.
Lila mentioned her spouse, but Jay wasn't fooled. He could see right through her attempt to quell her advances. Curiosity piqued, he asked about Jay's own marriage, learning that it was going through a rough patch.
Lila playfully teased Jay about his marital troubles, but he remained resolute, focusing on the task at hand. She tried to insinuate herself further, inviting him to stay for dinner. He agreed, but only if they could continue their discussion about the project.
As the evening wore on, Lila's flirtatious banter grew bolder. Jay, however, became increasingly uncomfortable, his discomfort evident in his rigid posture. Sensing his unease, Lila challenged him to a game of pool, hoping to break through his defenses.
Jay accepted, and they soon found themselves engaged in a heated game. Lila's advances continued, but she was taken aback when she accidentally spilled her drink on Jay's shirt. She offered to wash it, but he refused, his discomfort growing.
Lila insisted, and Jay reluctantly agreed. She disappeared into the laundry room, leaving him alone with his thoughts. When she returned, he still seemed uneasy, so she reassured him that she was a professional, and their relationship would remain strictly business.
Jay looked into her eyes, searching for any hint of deceit. Finding none, he allowed himself to relax, albeit slightly. The night was still young, and Lila had no intention of letting it go to waste.
