The classroom was empty, save for two figures standing at the chalkboard. Olivia, a strong-willed and confident 17-year-old, stood with her arms crossed, tapping her foot impatiently. Her older brother, Max, was frantically scribbling equations, his tongue poking out in concentration.
"Max, you're a hormonal disaster," Olivia teased, rolling her eyes. "If you don't focus, I'm telling Mom."
Max scoffed, turning to face her. "Prove you can do better, then."
Olivia's competitive nature flared up. "Fine. Let's see who can solve these problems faster."
They dove into the competition, their erasers flying as they furiously solved equation after equation. The room was filled with the sound of chalk squeaking against the board, punctuated by the occasional victorious "Ha!" from one or the other.
Just as Olivia was about to declare her victory, the door creaked open. In walked their mother, Dr. Amelia Thompson, the school's director. She leaned against the doorframe, her arms folded, a smirk playing on her lips.
"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" she asked, her voice dripping with amusement.
Olivia and Max shared a sheepish glance before turning to their mother. "We were just... studying," Max stammered.
Dr. Thompson raised an eyebrow. "At this hour? I'm impressed by your dedication."
She stepped into the room, her eyes scanning the chalkboard. "And it seems like you're both quite skilled. I was a top student in my time, you know."
Olivia felt a surge of competitive energy. "Then prove it, Mom. Solve this problem." She pointed to a particularly difficult equation.
Dr. Thompson grinned, accepting the challenge. She picked up a piece of chalk and solved the problem with ease, leaving Olivia in awe.
Max, feeling left out, chimed in. "You're such a show-off, Mom."
Dr. Thompson turned to him, her eyes twinkling. "And you, Max, need to work on your math skills."
Olivia couldn't help but feel a spark of attraction as she watched her mother. She noticed the way her muscles moved as she played, the sweat glistening on her skin. She found herself staring, unable to look away.
Dr. Thompson noticed her gaze and winked, leaving Olivia blushing and intrigued. The forbidden fruit was becoming more and more tempting.
