**Chapter 1: A Forbidden Spark**
MaKenzie MacDougall slouched against the graffiti-laden wall of the abandoned lot, her black hoodie pulled tight over her choppy, dyed-black hair. Her emo vibe screamed rebellion, but her heart raced with a different kind of defiance. At eighteen, she’d already decided school was a waste of her time—especially when her thoughts were consumed by Erin Krakow, the stunning 26-year-old co-star of her mother Miranda’s latest film. Erin, with her sharp cheekbones and smoldering hazel eyes, had ignited something in Kenzie that no angsty playlist could drown out.
They’d flirted shamelessly on set for weeks, hidden glances and sly touches behind Miranda’s back. Age was just a number to Kenzie, and her mom had always preached that love knew no bounds. Today, though, was different. Today was their first *official* date, away from the prying eyes of the film crew. Erin had picked a dive bar on the edge of town, all dim lights and sticky floors, the kind of place where secrets thrived.
“You sure you’re not just slumming it with me for the thrill, Hollywood?” Kenzie teased as they slid into a cracked vinyl booth, her voice dripping with playful skepticism. She leaned forward, her pierced lip curling into a smirk.
Erin laughed, a low, husky sound that sent a shiver down Kenzie’s spine. “Oh, please, MacDougall. I’ve had my fill of fake starlets. You’re the real deal—raw, unfiltered, and a little bit dangerous.” She sipped her beer, her gaze locking with Kenzie’s over the rim of the bottle. “I like danger.”
Kenzie’s heart thudded. “Good, ‘cause I don’t play nice. You’re not just some fling to me, Erin. I’m all in, even if it means sneaking around behind Mom’s back.” She reached across the table, her fingers brushing Erin’s, electric heat sparking at the contact.
Erin’s eyes darkened, her voice dropping to a whisper. “Sneaking around only makes it hotter, don’t you think? The risk, the thrill… knowing we could get caught any second.” She leaned closer, her breath warm against Kenzie’s ear. “I’ve been thinking about you non-stop, Kenzie. About how I want to taste every inch of you.”
A flush crept up Kenzie’s neck, but she held her ground, her own voice sharp and confident. “Keep talking like that, Krakow, and I might just drag you to the bathroom right now. I’m not some shy little girl—I know what I want, and it’s you, all over me.”
Erin grinned, wicked and unrestrained. “Oh, I’m counting on it. But let’s not rush. I want to savor every second of this… of us.” Her hand slid under the table, finding Kenzie’s thigh, her touch firm and deliberate. “Tell me, what’s the wildest thing you’ve ever wanted to do with someone?”
Kenzie’s breath hitched, but her smirk didn’t falter. “Wildest? Probably getting caught up in the heat of the moment somewhere public, where anyone could see. I’m not afraid of a little exposure if the reward is worth it. What about you?”
Erin’s fingers tightened on Kenzie’s thigh, her voice a sultry purr. “I’ve got a thing for control—pushing limits, seeing how far I can take someone before they break. And with you? I bet I could take you to the edge and back, right here, right now.”
The air between them crackled, thick with tension. Kenzie’s pulse raced as she leaned in, her lips hovering just inches from Erin’s. “Try me, then. I don’t break easy.”
Erin’s smirk was pure sin as she closed the distance, her lips crashing into Kenzie’s with a hunger that stole the younger woman’s breath. The kiss was fierce, all teeth and tongue, a battle for dominance neither was willing to lose. Kenzie’s hands tangled in Erin’s hair, pulling her closer, the world around them fading into a blur of heat and want. They were spiraling fast, hands roaming, breaths hitching, the promise of something explosive building with every touch.
As Erin’s hand slid higher up Kenzie’s thigh, brushing the edge of her jeans, Kenzie growled against her lips, “Keep going, and I’m gonna need more than a dark corner to handle what you’re starting.”
Erin pulled back just enough to whisper, “Oh, I’ve got plans for you, MacDougall. Let’s get out of here before I lose all control and take you right on this table.”
The night was young, and the fire between them was only just beginning to burn.
