Sibling Seduction: Begging for More

### Chapter 1: The Velvet Gambit

The air in the dimly lit lounge of the Crimson Orchid was thick with the scent of jasmine and bourbon, a heady mix that clung to the senses like a lover’s whisper. Velvet drapes framed the stage where a lone pianist played a sultry tune, each note dripping with unspoken promises. At the bar, Evangeline Voss sat perched on a stool, her crimson dress hugging her curves like a second skin, a martini glass dangling between her manicured fingers. She was a vision of control, her sharp green eyes scanning the room with the precision of a predator sizing up prey.

She wasn’t here for the music or the overpriced drinks. No, Evangeline had a game to play, and tonight’s target had just walked through the door. Tall, broad-shouldered, with a jawline that could cut glass, Gabriel Kane looked every bit the part of the brooding millionaire playboy. His tailored suit screamed money, but the slight dishevel of his dark hair hinted at a man who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Perfect.

Evangeline’s lips curled into a sly smile as she caught his eye from across the room. She tilted her head just enough to beckon him over without seeming desperate. He noticed, of course. Men like him always did. As he approached, she took a slow sip of her martini, letting the olive dance against her lips before setting the glass down with deliberate care.

“Lost, darling?” she purred, her voice low and smoky, cutting through the hum of the lounge like a blade. “Or are you just looking for trouble?”

Gabriel stopped a few steps away, his hazel eyes flickering with amusement as he took her in. “Trouble’s my middle name, sweetheart. But I’m guessing you already knew that.”

She arched a brow, leaning back slightly to give him a better view of the plunging neckline of her dress. “Oh, I know a lot of things, Mr. Kane. Like how a man with your reputation doesn’t just wander into a place like this without a reason. So, what’s yours? Business... or pleasure?”

He chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that sent a shiver down her spine despite herself. He stepped closer, resting one hand on the bar, his fingers brushing just inches from hers. “Can’t it be both? I’ve heard the Crimson Orchid has a way of mixing the two. And judging by the way you’re looking at me, I’d say you’re the expert.”

Evangeline’s smile widened, sharp and dangerous. “Flattery will get you everywhere, but only if you’ve got the spine to back it up. Tell me, Gabriel, do you always talk this much, or are you just stalling because you’re out of your depth?”

His eyes darkened, a spark of challenge igniting in them. “Out of my depth? Sweetheart, I swim with sharks for breakfast. You’re just the prettiest one I’ve seen in a while. So, what’s your game? You’ve got me curious, and I don’t get curious for just anyone.”

She laughed, a throaty sound that drew the attention of a few nearby patrons before she leaned in, her breath warm against his ear as she whispered, “My game is simple. I take what I want, when I want it. And right now, I want to see if you’re worth my time. Care to prove yourself, or should I find someone with a bit more... bite?”

Gabriel pulled back just enough to meet her gaze, his smirk mirroring hers. “Oh, I’ve got bite, darling. But I’m not some lapdog who jumps at the first snap of your fingers. You want to play? Then let’s play. Name your stakes.”

Evangeline’s eyes gleamed with wicked delight as she straightened, crossing one leg over the other, the slit in her dress revealing a tantalizing glimpse of thigh. “Stakes, hmm? How about this: you buy me another drink, and if you can keep up with my conversation for the next ten minutes without boring me to tears, I’ll let you take me somewhere a little more... private. But if you falter, you walk away, tail between your legs. Deal?”

He didn’t hesitate, signaling the bartender with a flick of his wrist. “Deal. But let’s make it interesting. If I win, you don’t just follow me somewhere private. You let me pick the place. I’ve got a penthouse view that’ll make your knees weak before I even touch you.”

Her laughter was sharp, cutting through the tension like a knife. “Big words for a man who hasn’t even proven he can keep my attention. Let’s see if your charm is as good as your tailoring, Mr. Kane. Impress me.”

As the bartender slid a fresh martini in front of her, Evangeline lifted the glass in a mock toast, her eyes never leaving his. “To games of chance,” she said, her voice dripping with promise. “May the best player win.”

Gabriel clinked his whiskey glass against hers, his grin predatory. “Oh, I always do, Ms. Voss. Always.”

The next ten minutes were a dance of words, each quip and retort laced with innuendo and challenge. Evangeline was relentless, her wit as sharp as her gaze, probing for any sign of weakness. But Gabriel matched her step for step, his responses quick and loaded with just enough heat to keep her intrigued. She wasn’t used to being matched like this, and the realization sent a thrill through her. This wasn’t just a game anymore—it was a battlefield, and she was determined to emerge victorious.

As the tenth minute ticked by, Evangeline leaned in, her lips hovering just shy of his. “Not bad, Kane. Not bad at all. I suppose you’ve earned your little victory. So, tell me, where’s this penthouse of yours? I’m curious to see if the view is as... breathtaking as you claim.”

His hand brushed against hers as he stood, offering her his arm with a smirk. “Stick with me, darling, and I’ll show you a view you’ll never forget. Among other things.”

She took his arm, her grip firm, her smile a silent promise of the storm to come. “Lead the way, Gabriel. But don’t think for a second that I’m not still in control. You’ve won the round, but the game? Oh, the game is far from over.”

As they exited the Crimson Orchid, the night air cool against their skin, Evangeline knew one thing for certain: Gabriel Kane was a worthy opponent. And she couldn’t wait to see how far she could push him before he broke—or before she did.
