The sun blazed high overhead, casting a golden glow over the neighborhood park. A group of women lay scattered across the grass, soaking up the warmth and basking in their own sense of superiority. At the edge of the park, a young boy approached, his face hopeful and eager.
Timmy nervously cleared his throat, "Um, excuse me, ladies. Would you like to play with me?"
Roxy, the ruthless leader of the group, laughed in his face, her cackle echoing through the park. "Play with you? Don't be ridiculous, kid. You're not worth our time."
The other women joined in, mocking Timmy and calling him names. "Stupid!" "Worthless!" "Annoying!"
Humiliated, Timmy turned and ran off, tears streaming down his face. Roxy and her friends continued to laugh, calling him a baby and a wimp.
A short distance away, Timmy's older sister, Sarah, watched the scene unfold. She was a strong, independent woman, with a sharp tongue and a quick wit. Seeing her little brother cry, she marched over to the group of women, her eyes blazing with determination.
"Hey, what's going on here?" Sarah demanded, her hands on her hips.
Roxy sneered, "Mind your own business, know-it-all."
Sarah refused to back down. "Why did you bully my brother? He's just a kid."
Roxy rolled her eyes, "Please. He's just a stupid, annoying little brat. He needs to learn his place."
Sarah's eyes narrowed, "Fine. If you think he's so worthless, why don't you prove it? Let's have a game of basketball. If you and your friends win, you can leave Timmy alone. But if you lose, you have to apologize and leave him alone."
Roxy, confident in her own abilities, accepted the challenge. "You're on, know-it-all. Loser apologizes."
The game began, and to Roxy's surprise, Sarah was a formidable opponent. She taunted Roxy, calling her slow and clumsy. The other women joined in, and soon Roxy and her friends were losing badly.
Sarah continued to insult them, her words sharp and biting. "Sore losers!" "Has-beens!" "Can't even keep up with a girl!"
Furious and embarrassed, Roxy conceded defeat. She stormed off with her friends, leaving Sarah and Timmy victorious.
As they walked home, Sarah ruffled Timmy's hair, a proud smile on her face. "You shouldn't let bullies get to you, Timmy. You're kind, brave, and smart. Don't let anyone make you feel otherwise."
Timmy beamed with pride, "Thanks, sissy. I won't."
Sarah hugged him, "Remember, Timmy, you're my little hero. And I'll always have your back."
Timmy nodded, feeling loved and protected. The two of them continued to walk home, chatting and laughing, their bond stronger than ever.
