Cady's workshop was a symphony of whirring gears and buzzing circuits, a testament to the brilliant mind of its owner. She was currently hunched over a pair of wings, intricate and beautiful in their design. The god of fire and metal, Hephaestus, entered the workshop, his nervous energy palpable.
"Cady, I was wondering if you had a moment to talk," he said, trying to make small talk. Cady, never one for idle chatter, cut straight to the point.
"Hephaestus, what do you want? I'm very busy," she said, not even bothering to look up from her work. Hephaestus took a deep breath before speaking.
"I know about Aphrodite's infidelity. I can't be with someone who doesn't truly appreciate me," he said, his voice tinged with shame. Cady was taken aback. She had never seen this side of Hephaestus before.
"I'm sorry, Hephaestus. I didn't know," she said, trying to let him down gently. But Hephaestus wasn't ready to give up.
"I admire your intelligence and strength, Cady. I think we could have something special," he said, his eyes pleading. Cady was flattered and intrigued. She had never considered Hephaestus in that way before, but now that he mentioned it, she could see the potential.
As they talked, Cady and Hephaestus found themselves growing closer, the tension between them building. Cady, always in control, took the lead and initiated a passionate kiss. Hephaestus was surprised, but delighted. He followed Cady's lead, and soon they were undressing each other, their desire for each other burning as bright as Hephaestus' own flames.

"I promise," he said. The two of them drifted off to sleep, looking forward to their next secret rendezvous. The goddess' secret was safe with them.
