Smoldering Flames: When Envy Met His Match in Hazzy

Chapter One: The Spark

The sun shone brightly overhead as Hazzy and Envy lounged on a picnic blanket, smack dab in the middle of a secluded park in the heart of the city. The two of them were engaged in a lighthearted argument, one that had become all too familiar to them.

"I still can't believe you're arguing about which of my forms is the most attractive," Envy said, shaking his head in disbelief. "It's like choosing which flavor of ice cream is the best. They're all great in their own way."

"But some are better than others," Hazzy retorted, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Like my freckles, for example. They're unique, they're human, they're-"

"Imperfections," Envy finished, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "You humans and your obsession with flaws. It's laughable, really."

Hazzy rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at her lips. "And you, Envy, are a green-skinned drama queen. Pot, meet kettle."

As the banter continued, Envy's gaze shifted to something over Hazzy's shoulder. His eyes narrowed, a tension filling the air. Hazzy noticed the change in him immediately and moved to shield him from whatever had caught his attention.

"What is it?" she asked, her voice low and steady.

"Mustang," Envy growled, his voice barely above a whisper. "He's here."

Hazzy followed his gaze and saw Roy Mustang, his eyes locked on Envy. She moved to stand in front of him, her body a barrier between him and the flame alchemist.

"Hazzy, move," Envy hissed, trying to push her out of the way.

But Hazzy held her ground, her eyes never leaving Mustang. "No. I won't let you hurt him."

Mustang sent a burst of flame towards Envy, but Hazzy jumped in the way, taking the brunt of the attack. She fell to the ground, writhing in pain as the flames licked at her skin.

Envy, enraged, prepared to retaliate, but Hazzy pleaded with him to spare Mustang. Envy, reluctantly, held back. He scooped up Hazzy, cradling her in his arms as he used his powers to heal her wounds.

As Hazzy came to, she found herself in Envy's arms, her body bare and vulnerable. She looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears.

"I love you, Envy," she whispered, her words spilling out in a torrent of emotion. "I've always loved you."

Envy tried to push her away, but Hazzy wasn't having it. She clung to him, her body pressed against his.

"I've always seen the loneliness in your heart, Envy," she continued, her voice soft and soothing. "I've been there for you, even when you didn't want me to be."

Envy, overwhelmed, gave in to his desires. He kissed Hazzy deeply, his hands roaming over her body. The lovemaking was intense, a release of emotion and tension.

As they lay together, Hazzy whispered that she'd always known that Envy, deep down, was not the monster he pretended to be. Envy, for the first time, felt a glimmer of hope in his heart. He realized that maybe, just maybe, he could find a place in this world after all.

The two of them fell asleep in each other's arms, the sun setting over the park. As the night fell, Hazzy's words echoed in Envy's mind, a reminder that even the darkest hearts could find the light.
