The mansion's luxurious living room was a sight to behold, with its high ceilings, grand fireplace, and plush furniture. But Kira's eyes were drawn to the figure seated on the couch, her evil stepmother Clara.
Clara looked up as Kira entered, her face lighting up with fake pleasantness. "Kira, dear, how wonderful of you to join me. I was just about to have a little look through this bag of tricks I've found." She patted the bag sitting next to her, a wicked glint in her eye.
Kira felt a sense of unease wash over her. "What's in the bag, Clara?" she asked, trying to keep her voice light.
Clara laughed, a playful insult on her lips. "Oh, you are just so nosy, aren't you? Greedy, too, I'll bet. Always wanting what isn't yours."
Kira narrowed her eyes, not backing down. "Are you hiding something, Clara?"
Clara's smile turned sly. "As a matter of fact, I have something that belongs to you, Kira. Something I found in your room."
Kira's heart skipped a beat. "What are you talking about?"
Clara began to open the bag, teasing Kira. "You'll see soon enough. I'm sure you'll be very interested in this little discovery I made."
She took out a pair of handcuffs, and Kira couldn't help but laugh. "You've got to be kidding me, Clara. You think I have something to do with these?"
Clara looked at her with a serious expression. "I found them in your room, Kira. I think you have been leading a wild life, and I'm here to put a stop to it."
Kira's mind raced as she tried to come up with a defense. "I have never seen those handcuffs before, Clara. I don't know where they came from."
But Clara didn't seem to believe her. She started to act strangely, and Kira began to feel threatened. Clara pulled out a bag smother from the bag and told Kira that she would teach her a lesson.
Kira's instincts took over, and she tried to run away. But Clara was too quick. She grabbed Kira and tried to put the bag over her head.
Kira struggled, fighting back with all her might. She managed to push Clara away and ran towards the door. But Clara wasn't giving up. She grabbed Kira's arm and tried to pull her back.
In self-defense, Kira punched Clara in the face. Clara fell to the ground, surprised. Kira took advantage of the situation and grabbed the bag, throwing it away.
Clara started to scream, accusing Kira of attacking her. But Kira didn't want to stay in the mansion any longer. She grabbed her things and left, taking a deep breath of relief as she stepped outside.
But Clara's voice followed her. Holding the inheritance money, she told Kira that she would never get her hands on it.
Kira turned around, a confident smile on her face. "I don't need your money, Clara. I have my own ways of making a living."
