Sowing Wild Oats in Narnia: The Pregnant Pevensie Sisters' Playful Quarrel

Chapter One: The Unexpected Secret

Susan and Lucy lay sprawled out on their four-poster beds, the summer sun streaming through the open windows and casting a warm glow over the room. The scent of freshly cut grass and wildflowers wafted in from the gardens below, mingling with the faint sound of laughter from the other guests staying at the countryside mansion.

Susan, her golden hair fanned out around her like a halo, was engrossed in a glossy fashion magazine, her eyes scanning the pages with a critical eye. Lucy, on the other hand, was lost in her own world, her pencil gliding across the pages of her sketchbook as she brought to life the images that danced in her head.

"Honestly, Susan," Lucy said, her voice laced with playful sarcasm as she glanced over at her sister. "I wouldn't be caught dead in half the outfits I see in that thing."

Susan looked up from her magazine, her blue eyes twinkling with amusement. "And I suppose you think your thrift-store finds and paint-splattered clothes are any better?"

Lucy blushed, her cheeks turning a soft pink as she tossed a pillow at Susan. "At least I have my own style. You're just a slave to fashion."

Susan caught the pillow with ease and tossed it back, her laughter filling the room. "And you're a slave to your art. At least I have the sense to appreciate the finer things in life."

Lucy rolled her eyes, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Finer things like those ridiculous stilettos you insist on wearing?"

Susan grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, come on, Lucy. You have to admit they make my legs look fantastic."

Lucy couldn't help but laugh at that, her eyes shining with affection for her older sister. "You're incorrigible, Susan. Absolutely incorrigible."

As they continued to banter, Susan suddenly clutched her stomach, her face twisting in pain. Lucy's laughter died on her lips as she watched her sister, concern etched on her face.

"Susan, what's wrong?" she asked, her voice laced with worry.

Susan hesitated, her eyes darting away from Lucy's gaze. "I don't know. I've been feeling strange for a few days now."

Lucy's worry deepened, her brow furrowing as she pressed Susan for more information. "Strange how? Have you been to the doctor?"

Susan shook her head, her lips pressed into a thin line. "No, I just need some rest. I'm sure it's nothing."

Lucy wasn't convinced, her eyes filled with determination. "I think we should call a doctor, just to be sure."

Susan sighed, her shoulders slumping in defeat. "Fine. But I'm telling you, it's nothing."

As Lucy reached for the phone, Susan's eyes fell on the sketchbook in Lucy's lap. Her gaze lingered on the drawing that Lucy had been working on, her eyes widening as she took in the details.

"Lucy," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Is that...is that a pregnancy test?"

Lucy's cheeks turned a deep shade of red, her eyes darting away from Susan's gaze. "I...I was just curious. I thought maybe...maybe you might need it."

Susan's heart skipped a beat, her mind racing as she took in the implications. "I can't be pregnant, Lucy. There's no way."

Lucy, undeterred, pulled the pregnancy test from her bag and handed it to Susan. "Just take it, Susan. It's better to be sure."

Susan's hands trembled as she took the test, her eyes locked on the tiny window as she waited for the results. Time seemed to stand still as the seconds ticked by, her heart pounding in her chest as she waited for the test to process.

When the results finally appeared, Susan's eyes widened in shock. "Oh, Lucy," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "It's positive."

Lucy gasped, her hand flying to her mouth as she took in the news. "Susan, oh my god. What are we going to do?"

Susan burst into tears, her body shaking with sobs as she hugged Lucy tightly. "I don't know, Lucy. I don't know."

As they clung to each other, both feeling a mix of fear, excitement, and confusion, Susan couldn't help but think about the road ahead. It was going to be a long, difficult journey, but she knew she wasn't alone. With Lucy by her side, she could face anything.

And as they hugged each other, their hearts beating in sync, Susan couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. Whatever the future held, she knew that she and Lucy would face it together, strong, controlling, and direct, just as they always had been.
