The great hall of Mount Olympus was filled with the usual suspects - gods and goddesses, lounging on their thrones and chatting amongst themselves. But Cady, the goddess of inventions and technology, was not among them. She was sitting on her throne, looking bored and annoyed.
"Why do I have to be the only single goddess in this place?" she complained to Hephaestus, the god of fire and the blacksmith of the gods, who was sitting next to her.
Hephaestus listened to Cady's complaints, but he seemed distant and uninterested. "I, too, am single," he said. "And I don't see the point of being in a relationship."
Cady couldn't help but notice how handsome Hephaestus was, even with his bushy beard. She made a playful insult, "Your beard makes you look like a caveman."
Hephaestus laughed and told Cady that she should see his forge, where he creates weapons and armor for the gods. Cady was intrigued and asked if she could visit it sometime.
Hephaestus agreed, and Cady followed him to his forge. She was amazed by the heat and the sparks, and she couldn't help but feel a little turned on by the sight of Hephaestus working.
"You should see my inventions," Cady said, showing off some of her gadgets.
Hephaestus was impressed and made a playful insult, "You're a nerd who doesn't know how to handle herself around real fire."
Cady laughed and told Hephaestus that she could handle herself just fine. She challenged him to a duel, saying that she could beat him with her inventions.
Hephaestus accepted the challenge and the two gods started to fight. Cady used her inventions, and Hephaestus used his hammer. The fight was intense, but Cady and Hephaestus were evenly matched.
As they fought, Cady and Hephaestus couldn't help but notice how attracted they were to each other. They continued to banter and make playful insults, but the tension between them was palpable.
Finally, Cady and Hephaestus were too tired to continue fighting. They stopped and looked at each other, both of them breathing heavily.
Cady made a playful insult about Hephaestus being out of breath, and Hephaestus told Cady that she's the one who's out of breath.
Cady and Hephaestus laughed, and then they started to kiss. The kiss was passionate and intense, and Cady couldn't believe how good it felt.
The other gods and goddesses, who had been watching from a distance, cheered and clapped. They had been secretly talking about why Cady and Hephaestus weren't dating each other, and they were happy to see that they finally were.
As Cady and Hephaestus broke apart, they both knew that this was the beginning of something special. They were the goddess of inventions and the blacksmith of the gods, and together, they were unstoppable.
