The grand feast hall of Mount Olympus was alive with the sounds of laughter and conversation as the gods and goddesses gathered around to enjoy a meal together. At the head of the table, Cady, the goddess of inventions and technology, sat on the lap of Hephaestus, the god of fire and the forge. They were both single, and they were both complaining about it.
"I don't know why I can't find a decent man," Cady said, taking a sip of her nectar. "They're all so boring and dull. They don't understand my love for gadgets and technology."
Hephaestus chuckled, "You should be grateful you can't find a man. I've had my fair share of heartbreaks, and let me tell you, it's not worth it."
Cady playfully poked Hephaestus in the chest, "Oh, come on. You're not that bad. You're just a little clumsy."
Hephaestus rolled his eyes, "Clumsy? I'm the god of fire and the forge. I can create anything with my hands. And yet, I can't seem to find a woman who appreciates me for who I am."
Aphrodite, the goddess of love, rolled her eyes from across the table. She leaned over to her neighbor and whispered, "They are the only two gods who haven't figured out that they are meant for each other."
Hermes, the messenger god, overheard Aphrodite and decided to play matchmaker. He winked at Cady and Hephaestus and said, "You two should consider dating. You have so much in common."
Cady laughed and playfully insulted Hermes, "I don't need a man to complete me. I can create my own happiness."
Hephaestus, feeling a little tipsy, agreed with Cady and declared, "I'm happy being single. I don't need a woman to make me whole."
Cady smiled and patted Hephaestus on the shoulder, appreciating his support. The rest of the gods and goddesses watched them with amusement and affection.
As the night went on, Cady and Hephaestus eventually fell asleep on each other's shoulders, snoring softly. The rest of the gods watched them with delight and affection. Aphrodite sighed and declared, "They are the cutest couple on Mount Olympus, even if they don't realize it yet."
Dionysus, the god of wine, offered to carry Cady and Hephaestus to their chambers. Hermes and Aphrodite helped him, teasing Cady and Hephaestus about their drunken state.
Cady and Hephaestus were placed in adjacent chambers, with Hephaestus grumbling about being too far away from Cady. Cady woke up in the middle of the night, feeling a little disoriented. She looked out of her window and saw Hephaestus standing on his balcony, staring at the stars.
Cady decided to join Hephaestus, sneaking out of her chamber and tiptoeing to his balcony. She playfully insulted Hephaestus for being a romantic at heart.
Hephaestus laughed and admired Cady's boldness, "You always know how to make me laugh."
Cady leaned against Hephaestus, enjoying the cool night air. They stood there for a while, enjoying each other's company. Cady eventually fell asleep in Hephaestus' arms, with Hephaestus carrying her back to her chamber.
The rest of the gods watched them with delight, knowing that Cady and Hephaestus were meant for each other.
Cady and Hephaestus woke up the next morning, feeling a little embarrassed about their drunken state. They laughed about it and agreed to never speak of it again. The rest of the gods and goddesses teased them about their "date" and declared that they were the cutest couple on Mount Olympus. Cady and Hephaestus blushed and playfully insulted each other, denying any romantic feelings. But deep down, they both knew that they were meant for each other.
