As they approached the car, Jaeheon glanced around the parking lot, making sure no one was watching. Not that he cared what others thought, but he didn’t want to add fuel to the rumors that were already circulating about him and Kyungjae. With a soft shush, he helped Kyungjae into the backseat, taking a moment to appreciate the sight of the drunk idol.
Kyungjae’s head lolled to the side, his goofy grin still present even in his inebriated state. Jaeheon couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight, shaking his head as he rummaged through Kyungjae’s bag. He found what he was looking for - mints, painkillers, and a small bottle of cologne.
Jaeheon opened the cologne, spraying it lightly in the air before wafting it towards Kyungjae’s direction. The other man’s eyes fluttered open, making a face as he swatted at Jaeheon’s hand. “Hyung, what the hell? I can smell better without that shit.”
Jaeheon chuckled, placing the bottle back in the bag. “You’re lucky I’m here to clean you up, idiot.”
Kyungjae pouted, sticking out his bottom lip. “I’m not an idiot, Hyung. I’m just... happy.” He giggled, reaching up to touch Jaeheon’s face.
Jaeheon gently pushed Kyungjae’s hand away, starting the car. “You’re drunk, that’s what you are. And you’re not supposed to be drinking at all.”
Kyungjae rolled his eyes, sitting up. “When have I ever followed the law, Hyung?” He smirked, leaning closer to Jaeheon.
Jaeheon’s heart skipped a beat as Kyungjae’s breath tickled his ear. “You’re not sober enough to make decisions like this, Kyungjae.”
Kyungjae’s smirk turned into a soft smile. “I trust you, Hyung. You always take care of me.” He leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Jaeheon’s cheek.
Jaeheon’s cheeks burned as he pulled away, putting the car in gear. “Stop that, you’ll regret it in the morning.”
Kyungjae pouted again, resting his head on Jaeheon’s shoulder. “I won’t regret anything with you, Hyung.”
Jaeheon sighed, driving towards Kyungjae’s dorm. He could feel Kyungjae’s hand tracing his jawline, the touch sending a jolt of electricity through his body. He tried to ignore it, focusing on the road ahead, but it was difficult when Kyungjae whispered in his ear.
“You’re so handsome, Hyung.”
Jaeheon’s heart raced as he clenched the steering wheel tighter. He couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, Kyungjae meant what he was saying. But he pushed the thought away, focusing on getting Kyungjae home safely.
As they pulled up to the dorm, Jaeheon helped Kyungjae out of the car, supporting him as they walked towards the entrance. He could feel Kyungjae’s body swaying with every step, the other man’s breath hot and heavy on his neck.
Once they reached Kyungjae’s door, Jaeheon fumbled with the keys, trying to find the right one. Kyungjae’s hands roamed over his body, touching him in ways that made his heart race. He couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, Kyungjae was serious about his feelings.
But as they stumbled into the dorm room, Jaeheon pushed the thought away. He couldn’t let himself get carried away by Kyungjae’s drunken advances. He was there to take care of him, not to take advantage of him.
With a soft sigh, Jaeheon helped Kyungjae onto the bed, taking off his shoes and covering him with a blanket. He watched as the other man’s eyes fluttered closed, a small smile playing on his lips.
Jaeheon couldn’t help but smile back, feeling a warmth spread through his chest. Even in his drunken state, Kyungjae was still the same strong, controlling, and direct person he had always known. And Jaeheon couldn’t help but feel grateful for that.
As he left the dorm room, Jaeheon couldn’t help but think about Kyungjae’s words. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for something more between them. But for now, he would have to wait and see.
