Starstruck Siblings: A Forbidden Family Affair

### Chapter One: Family Secrets and Sultry Surprises

The Hollywood Hills shimmered under the relentless California sun as Daniel navigated the winding driveway to the family mansion, a sprawling beast of glass and marble that screamed money and fame. His beat-up sedan looked like a stray dog among the pack of sleek sports cars parked out front. He adjusted his glasses, smoothed his slightly wrinkled button-down, and muttered to himself, “Just get through the weekend, Dan. Don’t trip over a chandelier or something.” Stepping out, he felt the weight of the opulent world he’d never quite fit into—his family’s world of red carpets and tabloid scandals.

Before he could even ring the bell, the massive double doors swung open, revealing Scarlett, his older sister, in all her fierce, fabulous glory. Her crimson lips curled into a wicked grin as she leaned against the doorframe, one hand on her hip, her designer sundress clinging to every curve. “Well, well, if it isn’t my baby brother, the tech geek extraordinaire. Did you bring your pocket protector, or are you finally ready to play with the big kids?” Her voice was a sultry purr, laced with teasing venom.

Daniel rolled his eyes, shifting uncomfortably under her gaze, but couldn’t help the sheepish smile tugging at his lips. “Good to see you too, Scar. And no, I left the pocket protector at home. Figured I’d try to blend in for once.”

She laughed, a throaty sound that sent a shiver down his spine, and before he could protest, she yanked him into a tight, lingering hug. Her perfume—something spicy and intoxicating—filled his senses as her body pressed against his, far longer than a sibling embrace should. “Oh, Danny, you’re hopeless. But I’ve missed you,” she murmured, her lips brushing his ear just enough to make his breath hitch. She pulled back, her green eyes glinting with mischief. “Come on, nerd. The family awaits.”

Scarlett practically dragged him through the mansion, her heels clicking on the polished floors, until they reached the pool deck—a sprawling oasis of turquoise water, white loungers, and bronzed bodies. The rest of the clan was there, sipping cocktails and dripping with effortless glamour. At the center of it all was their mother, Angelina, perched like a queen on a chaise lounge, her long legs crossed, a silk robe slipping off one shoulder. Her dark eyes locked onto Daniel, and a smirk played on her lips as she took in his awkward stance.

“Daniel, darling,” Angelina drawled, her voice a velvet command that could stop traffic. “You look like a deer in headlights. Come closer. Let me see if you’ve grown into those lanky limbs of yours.” Her tone was laced with amusement, but there was something else there—a curious, almost predatory glint in her gaze that made Daniel’s stomach flip.

He shuffled forward, feeling every eye on him, and mumbled, “Hey, Mom. It’s, uh, good to see you. Everyone. This place is... wow.”

“Wow?” Scarlett snorted, tossing her golden hair over her shoulder as she looped an arm around his. “That’s all you’ve got? God, Danny, you’re such a dork. Loosen up already. You’re not at some coding convention.”

Angelina raised a perfectly arched brow, setting down her martini with deliberate slowness. “Scarlett’s right, for once. We’re family, Daniel, and I’m declaring this weekend a bonding experience. No hiding in corners with your laptop. No excuses. We’re going to reconnect.” Her words were ironclad, her stare pinning him in place. “Understood?”

“Y-Yeah, sure, Mom,” he stammered, pushing up his glasses. “Bonding. Got it.”

From the edge of the pool, their cousin Chris, all chiseled jaw and effortless charm, let out a booming laugh. “Oi, Danny boy! You look like you need a dip to cool off that blush. How ‘bout a swim race? I’ll even give you a head start.”

Before Daniel could respond, Scarlett stepped in, her smirk sharp as a blade. “Oh, no, Chris. I’ve got dibs on teaching my little brother how to dive properly.” She shot Daniel a wink so suggestive it could’ve melted the pool. “Don’t worry, Danny. I’ll show you how to make a real splash.”

The siblings moved toward the pool, Scarlett peeling off her cover-up with a slow, deliberate motion, revealing a barely-there bikini that left little to the imagination. Daniel’s cheeks burned as he tried—and failed—to look anywhere else. She caught his stare and laughed, a sound that was both mocking and magnetic. “Oh, come on, don’t act like you’ve never seen a woman before. Or are you still that shy little boy who hid behind his comic books?”

He splashed into the water after her, trying to hide his embarrassment. “I’m not shy, Scar. Just... adjusting. You’re kind of a lot, you know that?”

She swam closer, her movements sleek and predatory, before splashing him square in the face. “A lot? Honey, you haven’t seen anything yet. You’re all grown up now, but still so damn bashful. What’s it gonna take to get you out of that shell?” Her tone danced on the edge of mockery and something warmer, more inviting, as her eyes sparkled with challenge.

From her chaise, Angelina watched the scene unfold, her martini glass poised at her lips. Her gaze was intense, unreadable, as she muttered under her breath, “Family traditions... always come full circle.” A mysterious smirk curled her lips, hinting at secrets Daniel couldn’t begin to fathom.

Overwhelmed by the poolside teasing, Daniel hauled himself out of the water, mumbling an excuse about needing a towel. He headed inside, dripping and desperate for a moment of peace, only to be cornered in the hallway by Scarlett. Her wet hair clung to her shoulders, droplets sliding down her skin as she blocked his path, one hand on the wall beside him. Her grin was pure mischief.

“Running away already, little brother?” she teased, leaning in close enough that he could feel the heat radiating off her. Her breath was hot against his ear as she whispered, “What’s wrong, Danny? Can’t handle a little fun?”

His heart pounded in his chest, words tripping over themselves. “I’m not running, Scar. I just... needed a breather. You’re relentless.”

She pulled back just enough to lock eyes with him, her stare electric. “Relentless? Oh, you have no idea. Stop being such a boring little brother and meet me in the screening room later for a private movie night. Unless you’re too scared to hang with me one-on-one.” Her voice was a challenge wrapped in velvet, daring him to step into her game.

Daniel swallowed hard, his mind racing with the implications of her tone, her proximity. “Uh, yeah, okay. Movie night. Sure.”

Scarlett let out a triumphant laugh, stepping back with a sway of her hips. “That’s the spirit. Don’t be late, nerd.” She sauntered off down the hall, leaving him standing there, heart hammering, as he tried to process what the hell “movie night” could mean with someone like her.

Glancing back toward the pool deck through the glass doors, he caught Angelina’s gaze from across the yard. Her look was knowing, a silent signal that pierced through him. Whatever this weekend held, Daniel was certain of one thing: he wasn’t prepared for the secrets—and surprises—waiting to unravel.
