The elevator ride was usually uneventful, a mundane trip between floors. But not today. Not after the earth-shattering lovemaking Argenta and Alucard had just shared. Their bodies were still glowing with the aftermath, and the air was thick with the scent of desire.
But as good as it was, Argenta was always thinking ahead. “Well, that was one way to pass the time,” she said, breaking the silence. “Now, how do we get out of here?”
Alucard couldn’t help but smirk at her comment. “Always thinking ahead, aren’t you?”
Argenta rolled her eyes. “Of course, I am. Unlike some people, I don’t enjoy being stuck in small spaces with no escape.”
Alucard chuckled. “You make it sound like I planned this.”
Argenta raised an eyebrow. “Did you?”
Alucard held up his hands in defense. “Of course not. But now that we’re here, we might as well make the most of it.”
Argenta couldn’t help but smile at his playful tone. “Fine. But no more hanky-panky until we’re out of this metal box.”
Alucard pouted. “Fine, ruin my fun.”
Argenta laughed. “Someone has to be the responsible one here.”
Alucard looked around the elevator. “So, any ideas on how to get out of here?”
Argenta thought for a moment. “We could try pressing the emergency button.”
Alucard nodded. “Worth a shot.” He reached over and pressed the button.
They waited for a few moments, but nothing happened.
Argenta sighed. “Well, that was a bust.”
Alucard looked at her. “We could always try again.”
Argenta rolled her eyes. “Fine, but this is the last time.”
Alucard grinned. “Whatever you say, boss.”
Argenta couldn’t help but smile at his playful tone. “You’re lucky I find you charming, Alucard.”
Alucard winked. “I know.”
Their banter filled the small space, making it feel less claustrophobic. And even though they were stuck, they were together. And for Argenta, that was all that mattered.
