Chapter 1: Morning Heat
The sun was a golden tease, spilling over the coastal town as Deb and Mike strolled away from the quaint beach house, the promise of donuts a flimsy excuse for their escape. Deb’s long legs, tanned and toned, caught the light with every stride, her sundress fluttering just high enough to hint at the curves beneath. Mike, with his easy grin and tousled hair, kept pace, his hand brushing hers until their fingers intertwined—a secret pact sealed in broad daylight.
'Last night was... unexpected,' Deb purred, her voice low and smoky as they veered off the main path toward the beach. Her hazel eyes glinted with mischief. 'I didn’t think you’d have the guts to sneak into my room with Steve snoring just down the hall.'
Mike chuckled, his thumb tracing circles on her palm. 'Guts? Babe, I’ve got more than that. You felt it. And don’t act like you didn’t beg for round two.'
She smirked, tossing her hair over one shoulder. 'Beg? Honey, I demanded. There’s a difference. And you delivered, I’ll give you that.' Her gaze dropped to his lips, lingering. 'Still, we’re pushing our luck out here. What if someone sees us?'
'Let ‘em watch,' Mike shot back, pulling her closer as they reached the sandy shore. His voice dipped, rough with intent. 'I don’t care who knows I can’t keep my hands off you.' He leaned in, capturing her mouth in a slow, hungry kiss, right there on the open beach. Her lips parted, meeting his fire with her own, tongues tangling as the salty breeze whipped around them.
They broke apart, breathless, and Deb laughed—a sharp, wicked sound. 'You’re insane. We’re practically giving a free show.' She nodded toward a couple of early risers jogging past, their curious glances barely concealed.
'Good,' Mike growled, guiding her to a weathered bench overlooking the waves. He sat, pulling her onto his lap, her thighs straddling him with brazen confidence. 'Let ‘em stare. Bet they’re jealous I’ve got the hottest woman on this coast grinding against me.'
Deb arched a brow, her hands sliding up his chest. 'Flattery won’t save you if Steve finds out. Though...' She tilted her head, a sly grin playing on her lips. 'I think he knows. Why else would he give us ‘alone time’ this morning? He practically shoved us out the door.'
Mike’s hands gripped her hips, pulling her tighter against him. 'You think he wants this? Wants me to take you right here, where anyone could see?' His voice was a low rumble, his eyes dark with heat.
'Maybe,' Deb teased, her nails grazing the back of his neck. 'Maybe he’s sitting back at the house, picturing it. Me, dripping wet for you. You, hard as hell under me.' She shifted deliberately, feeling him tense beneath her, and her smirk widened. 'Poor Steve. He’s got no idea how much trouble he’s in for letting us play.'
Their lips crashed again, fiercer this time, a public display of raw, unapologetic want. Her fingers dug into his shoulders, his hands roaming her ass, squeezing with possessive need. The world around them faded—joggers, seagulls, the crashing waves—none of it mattered. Deb’s breath hitched as she felt him, rigid and ready, pressing against her through the thin fabric of her dress. She was already aching, her body humming with a need she wouldn’t deny.
'We’re not stopping at donuts, are we?' Mike panted, his voice rough against her ear.
'Not a chance,' Deb shot back, her eyes blazing. 'I want you. Now. And I’m not waiting for some sticky pastry to get in the way.'
Their laughter mingled with the ocean’s roar as they stood, hands still locked, the promise of what was coming next hanging heavy between them. The beach stretched out, wild and untamed, just like the heat building in their veins. They weren’t just playing with fire—they were about to set the whole damn shore ablaze.
