The heart of Candyland Palace beat with the rhythm of laughter and light-hearted chatter, as the four goddesses lounged on plush cushions, adorned in fabrics that shimmered and shone, reflecting the kaleidoscope of colors that decorated the room. Brigitte, the radiant and alluring hostess, ran her fingers through her long, cascading curls, a satisfied smile playing upon her lips. "I can't get enough of these pickled peaches," she sighed, sipping her nectar. "Apollo's been running himself ragged, trying to keep up with my cravings."
Hera, the ever-regal and poised, smirked at her friend's revelation. "Zeus nearly fell off his throne when I told him," she shared, a glint of amusement in her eyes. "‘A boy, you say?' He's been buying me peacock feathers by the truckload."
Amphitrite, her eyes sparkling with mischief, chimed in, "Poseidon's been spoiling me with seashells and pearls. I've turned my bathing chamber into a literal oyster!"
Persephone, her usually serious demeanor lightened by her delicate condition, giggled amongst the banter. "Hades was... surprised, to say the least. But he's been surprisingly attentive. Can't say I hate it."
Brigitte raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Surprisingly attentive? From Hades? Do tell."
Persephone rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile. "Don't get too excited. He's still Hades. But he has been bringing me fresh pomegranates every day."
Hera snorted, unimpressed. "Big deal. Apollo's been serenading me with love songs. In public."
Amphitrite burst out laughing. "Poseidon's been teaching our son-to-be how to control the waves. He's already soaked half of Olympus."
The goddesses laughed and traded stories, their pregnancies bringing them closer together, the camaraderie of their sisterhood warming the very air they breathed.
Brigitte, always the instigator, turned to Persephone. "So, when are you going to tell Hades about the twins?"
Persephone groaned, her hand instinctively reaching to cradle her growing belly. "I haven't even told him about the first one yet. I don't know how he's going to react."
Hera patted her hand, her expression softening. "Just wait until he finds out it's a boy and a girl. He won't know what hit him."
Amphitrite grinned, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Might as well get it over with. We'll be here to pick up the pieces."
The goddesses laughed and toasted to Persephone, their sister in pregnancy, knowing that whatever happened, they would face it together. The power of these goddesses, their strength and resilience, was a force to be reckoned with. And as they gathered together in Brigitte's Candyland Palace, sharing stories and laughter, their unbreakable bond was a testament to the true nature of feminine power.
