The four goddesses—Brigette, Hera, Amphitrite, and Persephone—floated gracefully into the throne room of Brigette’s candy castle, each one showing off their growing baby bumps with pride. The room was filled with every type of candy imaginable, from cotton candy clouds to gumdrop floors, and the air was thick with the sweet scent of sugar.
Brigette, the goddess of joy and candy, reclined on her throne, a mountain of chocolate pickles by her side. “I have a craving for something strange and wonderful,” she announced, popping a pickle into her mouth and closing her eyes in bliss.
Hera, the queen of the gods, raised an eyebrow. “Pickles dipped in chocolate? That’s a new one, even for you.”
Brigette shrugged. “Apollo finds it amusing. He says it’s a testament to my unpredictable nature.”
Hera confessed her own craving. “I find myself longing for burnt offerings and ambrosia. It’s the only thing that can satisfy my divine hunger these days.”
Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea, laughed. “I can top that. I have a strange craving for saltwater taffy and calamari. It’s a strange mix, but it hits the spot.”
Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, added, “I have a unique craving for hot wings and flowers. It’s a strange mix of my two realms, but it works for me.”
The goddesses moved on to discussing their husbands’ reactions to finding out they were pregnant.
Brigette shared, “Apollo was overjoyed and serenaded me with a song on his lyre. He couldn’t be happier.”
Hera mentioned, “Zeus was surprised but supportive. He’s always been a good partner to me.”
Amphitrite told the group, “Poseidon was thrilled and promised to build a palace made entirely of seashells for our son. He’s always been so extra.”
Persephone recounted, “Hades was initially reluctant, but eventually came around and even threw a feast in my honor. He’s a complex man, but he always comes through in the end.”
The goddesses then discussed their husbands’ reactions to finding out the gender of their babies.
Brigette shared, “Apollo was disappointed that we weren’t having a girl, but I playfully insulted him by saying, ‘At least you’ll have a mini-you to teach archery to.’ He took it in stride.”
Hera mentioned, “Zeus was indifferent, as long as the baby was healthy. He’s always been a practical man.”
Amphitrite said, “Poseidon was thrilled to be having a son. He’s been planning his underwater adventures since the moment he found out.”
Persephone revealed, “Hades was shocked to find out I was expecting twins. I playfully quipped, ‘I guess that means I’ll have double the trouble in the underworld.’ He took it in stride.”
The goddesses then discussed how their husbands have been treating them ever since they got pregnant.
Brigette shared, “Apollo has been pampering me, bringing me flowers and singing to me every night. He’s been so attentive and loving.”
Hera mentioned, “Zeus has been more attentive and affectionate. He’s been a true partner during this time.”
Amphitrite said, “Poseidon has been extra protective and attentive. He’s been by my side every step of the way.”
Persephone revealed, “Hades has been surprisingly supportive and helpful. He’s even offered to take on some of my duties in the underworld. He’s been a true partner in every sense of the word.”
The goddesses ended their gathering with a toast to their pregnancies, their husbands, and the future of their children.
Brigette raised her glass of champagne. “To our pregnancies and the joy they bring. May our husbands continue to support and love us, and may our children bring us even more joy in the future.”
The goddesses clinked their glasses together and took a sip, their faces glowing with happiness and excitement for what the future held.
