The four goddesses reclined on plush cushions in the heart of Brigitte’s candy garden, a dazzling expanse of sweets and treats that seemed to stretch on for eternity. Each goddess proudly displayed her burgeoning belly, a testament to the powerful beings they were.
Brigitte, the goddess of joy and candy, broke the silence. “I must confess, my dearest friends, I have been plagued by the most peculiar cravings. Pickles and ice cream, of all things!” She lifted a dainty shoulder, a lock of golden hair slipping over her shoulder.
The others laughed, teasing Brigitte about her unusual combination. Hera, the goddess of marriage and family, chimed in, “I, too, have cravings, but mine are a bit more refined. Rare, exotic fruits from the farthest reaches of the world. My dear husband, Zeus, has been sending his fastest messengers to fetch them for me.” She spoke with a touch of pride, her hand resting protectively on her belly.
Amphitrite, the goddess of the sea, shared her craving for saltwater taffy, a treat from her husband Poseidon’s underwater kingdom. She playfully insulted Poseidon, “Alas, my dear husband’s taffy cannot compare to the delights of the surface.”
Persephone, the goddess of the underworld, hesitated before admitting her cravings for both honey and dirt. The goddesses burst into laughter, teasing her for her unique and earthy tastes.
As the laughter subsided, the goddesses moved on to discussing their husbands’ reactions to finding out they were pregnant. Brigitte shared how Apollo was overjoyed and threw a grand feast in her honor.
Hera rolled her eyes, recounting how Zeus was initially skeptical, suspecting one of his many affairs had resulted in a child. It took Hera’s divine persuasion to convince him otherwise.
Amphitrite chuckled, remembering how Poseidon was so excited that he accidentally flooded half the kingdom in his enthusiasm.
Persephone’s face darkened as she recalled how Hades was not pleased about the pregnancy, fearing the responsibility of raising a child in the underworld.
The goddesses then discussed their husbands’ reactions to finding out the gender of their unborn children. Brigitte proudly announced that Apollo was thrilled to be having a son, while Hera shared that Zeus was equally excited for their little boy.
Amphitrite playfully complained that Poseidon was disappointed to learn he would not be having a daughter, as he had hoped to teach her how to ride the waves and control the tides.
Persephone, with a mischievous smile, revealed that Hades was shocked to find out she was carrying twins – a boy and a girl. The goddesses erupted into laughter, imagining the stern lord of the underworld’s reaction.
As the laughter died down, the goddesses discussed how their husbands had been treating them since they became pregnant. Brigitte shared how Apollo had been doting on her, showering her with gifts and affection.
Hera, with a hint of jealousy, admitted that Zeus had been more attentive, but still couldn’t resist his philandering ways.
Amphitrite, with a satisfied grin, shared that Poseidon had been extra protective and affectionate, even going as far as creating a small underwater palace just for her and their future child.
The goddesses continued to share and laugh, their bond strengthening with each story. The power of their friendship was palpable, a force to be reckoned with in the divine realm.
