Teasing Him into Submission

### Chapter One: Teasing the Tether

The bedroom was a sanctuary of shadows and whispers, the kind of place where secrets curled up in the corners and begged to be told. Candles flickered on the dresser, their golden light dancing over the plush bed, casting a warm glow that barely reached the edges of the room. The air was heavy with the faint, intoxicating scent of lavender, a scent I’d chosen deliberately because I knew it drove Ethan wild, even if he’d never admit it. I stood by the doorway, one hip cocked, my silhouette framed against the dim hall light, watching him with a predator’s patience.

Ethan lingered just beyond the threshold, his broad shoulders hunched slightly, hands fidgeting at his sides like a schoolboy caught sneaking a peek. His dark hair was a mess, as if he’d run his fingers through it one too many times on the way over, and those hazel eyes of his darted between me and the floor, unsure where to land. Adorable. Pathetic. Perfect.

“Well, don’t just stand there gawking, darling,” I purred, my voice low and laced with amusement. I crossed my arms under my chest, the silk of my black robe slipping just enough to hint at the lace beneath. “Are you coming in, or do I have to drag you by that pretty little collar of yours?”

He swallowed hard, the bob of his Adam’s apple almost comically obvious. “I’m coming, Lila,” he mumbled, taking a hesitant step forward, his sneakers scuffing against the hardwood. “Just… didn’t want to, uh, rush anything.”

I laughed, a sharp, tinkling sound that cut through the quiet like a blade. “Rush? Oh, sweetheart, you couldn’t rush if I lit a fire under that cute ass of yours. Get in here. Now.” I pointed to the spot just in front of the bed, my tone leaving no room for argument. He obeyed—because of course he did—shuffling over with a mix of nerves and eagerness that made my lips curl into a sly smirk.

I sauntered closer, my bare feet silent against the floor, letting the robe sway with each step. I could feel his gaze on me, hungry and uncertain, and I reveled in it. Stopping just inches from him, I tilted my head, studying him like a cat eyeing a particularly skittish mouse. “Look at you,” I murmured, reaching out to brush a single finger along his jawline, feeling the faint stubble there. “All jittery and wide-eyed. What’s the matter, Ethan? Afraid I’m gonna bite?”

His breath hitched, and a faint flush crept up his neck. “No, I just… I mean, you’re kinda intense right now,” he stammered, his voice cracking on the last word.

“Intense?” I arched a brow, stepping even closer until the heat of his body mingled with mine. I let my finger trail down to his chest, pressing lightly against the fabric of his shirt. “Baby, you haven’t seen intense yet. But stick around. I’ll show you how I play.” I gave him a little shove, just enough to make him stumble back a step, his knees hitting the edge of the bed. He sat down hard, looking up at me with a mix of awe and desperation that sent a thrill straight through me.

“Lila, I—” he started, but I cut him off with a raised hand, my nails painted a deep, dangerous red.

“Shh. Less talking, more listening.” I leaned down, my face hovering just above his, close enough that I could feel the warmth of his uneven breaths. My robe slipped further, and I didn’t bother to fix it. Let him look. Let him want. “Here’s how this works, darling. I lead. You follow. And if you’re a very good boy, I might just let you keep up. Think you can handle that, or are you already in over your head?”

He nodded quickly, too quickly, his hands gripping the edge of the bed like it was the only thing keeping him grounded. “I can handle it,” he said, though his voice wavered just enough to make me grin.

“Oh, can you now?” I straightened up, taking a deliberate step back, letting the distance between us stretch like a taut string. I crossed my arms again, tilting my head as I raked my gaze over him, slow and deliberate. “Because from where I’m standing, you look like a deer caught in headlights. All shaky and unsure. It’s almost too easy to toy with you.”

“I’m not shaky,” he protested, though the way his fingers tightened on the bedspread told a different story. “I’m just… taking it all in.”

I snorted, a sound that was half laughter, half disdain. “Taking it in? Is that what we’re calling it? Fine. Take it in, then. Take a good, long look.” I turned slowly, giving him a view of every curve, every angle, letting the candlelight play over the silk and lace as I moved. I could feel his eyes burning into me, and when I glanced over my shoulder, his mouth was slightly parted, his chest rising and falling a little faster. Gotcha.

I spun back to face him, closing the distance again in two quick strides. I leaned in, my hands braced on either side of him on the bed, caging him in. My lips hovered just shy of his ear, my voice dropping to a whisper. “You like what you see, don’t you? Poor thing, you’re practically drooling already, and I haven’t even started.”

“Lila, c’mon,” he groaned, his hands twitching like he wanted to reach for me but didn’t dare. “You’re killing me here.”

“Killing you?” I pulled back just enough to meet his gaze, my eyes glinting with mischief. “Oh, honey, I’m just warming up. If this is killing you, you’re in for a long, torturous night.” I let my fingers dance along his collar, tugging lightly at the fabric before sliding down to toy with the first button of his shirt. I didn’t undo it—not yet. Let him sweat a little longer.

He let out a shaky laugh, his head tipping back slightly as if to escape the intensity of my stare. “You’re evil, you know that?”

“Evil?” I smirked, popping the button free at last, my fingers brushing against the bare skin beneath. His sharp intake of breath was music to my ears. “No, darling. I’m in control. There’s a difference. And you love every second of it, don’t you?”

He didn’t answer right away, his eyes locked on mine, dark with need. Finally, he nodded, a small, jerky motion that made me chuckle. “Yeah,” he admitted, his voice rough. “I do.”

“Good boy,” I cooed, patting his cheek with just enough condescension to make him squirm. I straightened up again, stepping back to admire my handiwork. He was a mess already—flushed, tense, his shirt half-open and his hands still gripping the bed like a lifeline. Perfect.

I turned away, walking toward the small table by the window where a glass of wine waited for me. I picked it up, taking a slow sip, letting the silence stretch out between us. I could feel his eyes on me, could practically hear the gears turning in his head as he wondered what I’d do next. Let him wonder. Let him ache.

“Don’t move,” I called over my shoulder, not even bothering to look at him. “We’re just getting started, Ethan. And trust me, I’ve got all night to make you beg.”

His low, frustrated groan was the sweetest sound I’d heard all day. I smiled into my glass, the promise of the night ahead sparking like wildfire in my veins. Oh, this was going to be fun.
