The Devil's Tender Conquest

**Chapter One: The Devil's Return**

The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting long shadows across the grand estate that the Emperor had bestowed upon Liu Yan and his family. Liu Yan, his long black hair tied in a high ponytail fluttering in the wind, rode back to the estate on his horse. His dark eyes scanned the horizon, ever vigilant, ever fierce.

As he approached, the sound of hooves on the gravel path drew the attention of his adopted son, who rushed out to greet him. The boy's youthful eyes sparkled with excitement, his small frame barely containing his joy at seeing his father return from his duties.

"Father! You're back!" the boy exclaimed, his voice a mix of relief and happiness.

Liu Yan dismounted with the grace of a seasoned warrior, his boots hitting the ground with a soft thud. Before he could even steady himself, his son was in his arms, babbling about how much he had missed him.

"I missed you too, little one," Liu Yan said, ruffling the boy's hair affectionately.

From the doorway, Luo Binghe emerged, his gentle demeanor a stark contrast to Liu Yan's fierce presence. Yet, his eyes lit up with joy at seeing his husband. A playful smirk danced on his lips as he approached.

"Look who finally decided to grace us with his presence, the great Devil himself," Luo Binghe teased, his voice dripping with mock exasperation.

Liu Yan chuckled, pulling Luo Binghe into a tight embrace. "Missed you too, you cheeky bastard," he whispered, his voice low and husky.

Luo Binghe's eyes sparkled with mischief as Liu Yan presented him with a new, fluffy long coat made from the fur of a Sembitai wolf. "Thought this might keep you warm, though I prefer you hot and bothered," Liu Yan said, his eyes glinting with desire.

Luo Binghe laughed, slipping into the coat and twirling around to show it off. "Only you would think of such a thing, you insatiable beast," he retorted, his voice playful yet filled with affection.

Liu Yan then turned to his son, pulling out a real sword from his saddlebag. "Time you learned to defend yourself, little warrior," he said, handing the sword to the boy.

The son's eyes widened with awe as he carefully took the sword, his small hands gripping the hilt with determination. "I promise to train hard, Father," he said, his voice filled with resolve.

From under Liu Yan's coat, a small puppy with black eyes emerged, yipping happily and circling the son's feet. Liu Yan's own dog, a massive wolfhound, bounded over to greet the new addition, sniffing curiously.

Liu Yan pulled Luo Binghe close by the waist, drawing him into a passionate kiss. Their lips met with a hunger that spoke of long absence, their bodies pressed tightly together. As they parted, Liu Yan moved to Luo Binghe's neck, nipping and leaving marks of passion.

"You're mine, and don't you forget it," Liu Yan murmured, his voice a low growl.

Luo Binghe, breathless but amused, replied, "As if I could, with you marking me like some territorial animal." His eyes sparkled with a mix of defiance and desire, his hand reaching up to trace the marks on his neck.

Liu Yan's lips curled into a smirk. "Good. I like you marked," he said, his voice a seductive purr.

Luo Binghe leaned in, his voice a whisper against Liu Yan's ear. "And I like you possessive. But remember, I'm not just yours to claim. I'm your equal, your partner, and I'll mark you just as fiercely if I choose."

Liu Yan's eyes widened slightly, a mix of surprise and admiration in his gaze. "I wouldn't have it any other way," he said, his voice filled with respect and desire.

As the sun set behind them, casting a warm glow over the estate, the family stood together, united in their love and strength. The Devil had returned, but he was not alone. He had his fierce, controlling, and direct partner by his side, and together, they were unstoppable.
