Deborah stepped into the hotel room, her cleaning supplies at the ready. She was surprised to find Alexander, her ex-boyfriend, sitting on the bed, his laptop open in front of him.
"Well, well, well," she said, trying to keep her voice light. "Fancy running into you here."
Alexander looked up, his expression cold. "Deborah. I didn't expect to see you."
She couldn't help but notice the way he said her name, as if it left a bad taste in his mouth. She set down her supplies and walked over to him.
"I didn't expect to see you either," she said. "But I'm guessing you're here for the conference?"
He nodded. "Yes, I'm managing a foundation now. I'm sure you've heard of it."
Deborah raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I have? Do tell."
Alexander smirked. "It's called the Alexander Foundation. I'm sure you're impressed."
She couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Yes, because naming a foundation after yourself is the epitome of success."
He shrugged. "Well, I didn't waste my time on education like you did. I'm actually doing something with my life."
Deborah felt a pang of hurt, but she refused to let it show. "Oh, I'm sure cleaning hotel rooms is a very fulfilling career," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Alexander scoffed. "You're wasting your time with studies. You could be doing something meaningful like me."
She crossed her arms. "I'm studying psychology, Alexander. It requires intelligence and empathy. Two things I don't think you have."
He stood up, towering over her. "You always were too smart for your own good."
Deborah didn't back down. "And you were always too full of yourself."
Alexander sighed. "Look, I have an online meeting in a few minutes. Can you come back later?"
She smiled. "Sure, I can come back in three hours."
He looked relieved. "Great, thank you."
Deborah picked up her supplies. "See you then."
After she left, Alexander finished his meeting. He smirked to himself. She was still the same inexperienced girl he had left.
Three hours later, Deborah returned to the room. She had a plan.
"I'm skipping my lecture to spend time with you," she said, her voice teasing.
Alexander looked surprised. "You're serious?"
She nodded. "I'm choosing you over my studies."
Alexander couldn't believe it. "Why?"
Deborah walked over to him, her hips swaying. "I want to show you that I'm not the same girl you used to know."
Alexander raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
She leaned in close, her breath hot on his ear. "I mean, I've learned a few things since we broke up."
Alexander felt a stirring in his pants. "Like what?"
Deborah stood up and walked over to the bed. "Like how to take control of a situation."
She started to clean, but in a slow and seductive way. Alexander watched her, his desire growing.
"You always underestimated me," she said, her voice low.
Alexander couldn't deny it. He had.
Deborah smiled. "But I think it's time you saw the real me."
She took off her shirt, revealing a lacy bra. Alexander's mouth went dry.
"I think it's time you saw what I've become," she said.
And with that, she climbed onto the bed, straddling him. Alexander was powerless to resist.
Deborah had won this round.
