The Goddess Gathering: Breastfeeding, Bottles, and Husbands Fumbling in the Delights of New Parenthood

Chapter One: Goddesses Gather

The palace of Brigitte, the Goddess of Candy and Sweets, was a vibrant and colorful space, fit for a deity with such a sweet tooth. As the goddesses entered, they were greeted with the sight of walls adorned with every type of candy and sweet imaginable. It was a sight to behold, and one that never failed to impress.

Brigitte, Hera, Amphimtrite, and Persephone entered the palace, each carrying their newborns. They greeted each other warmly, admiring the babies.

"Ah, look at Solace," Brigitte cooed, taking her daughter from the goddess's arms. "She's growing so quickly."

Hera offered a smile as she handed Jason over to Brigitte. "They do grow up fast. It's hard to believe it's been six months already."

Amphimtrite and Persephone nodded in agreement, each holding their own children. Bianca, Nico, and Perseus were all sound asleep, oblivious to the conversation around them.

Brigitte offered candy and sweets to the goddesses, who politely declined. "I'm afraid we're still breastfeeding," Hera explained.

Brigitte breastfed Solace, while Hera did the same with Jason. Amphimtrite and Persephone bottle-fed Bianca, Nico, and Perseus.

As they fed their children, the goddesses discussed the babies' eating habits. Amphimtrite playfully insulted Brigitte for "spoiling" Solace with sweets.

"She's going to have such a sweet tooth," Amphimtrite joked.

Brigitte laughed. "I can't help it. She's my daughter. I want her to have the best of everything."

They discussed the babies' sleeping patterns, with Persephone revealing Nico and Bianca's tendency to keep her up at night.

"I swear, they're like little vampires," Persephone said with a laugh. "They just won't let me sleep."

Hera shared her experience with Jason's colic, causing Brigitte to sympathize and offer a candy solution, which Hera declined.

"I appreciate the offer, but I think I'll stick to the traditional methods for now," Hera said with a smile.

The goddesses discussed their postpartum experiences, with Hera complaining about Zeus' lack of help and Brigitte sharing her positive experience with Apollo.

"He's been such a doting father," Brigitte gushed. "He's been helping me with everything."

They discussed how their husbands had been treating the babies, with Persephone sharing Hades' initial disinterest in the twins.

"He's come around since then," Persephone said. "But at first, he was less than thrilled."

Amphimtrite shared Poseidon's excitement over Perseus, causing jealousy from Brigitte and Hera.

"It's not fair," Brigitte pouted. "Why can't our husbands be as excited as Poseidon?"

The goddesses discussed how their husbands reacted during childbirth, with Brigitte sharing Apollo's near-fainting incident.

Hera playfully insulted Zeus for his weak stomach, causing laughter among the goddesses.

"At least he made it through the birth," Hera said with a laugh. "I'll take that as a win."

The goddesses continued to share their experiences and bond over their new roles as mothers. They made plans for future gatherings, with Brigitte insisting on hosting and providing candy.

As they said their goodbyes, the goddesses left Brigitte's palace with a sense of camaraderie and support. Brigitte reflected on the gathering, feeling grateful for the other goddesses and the strength they brought to each other.

"Goddesses gather, and the world is a better place," Brigitte thought to herself. "We may be powerful deities, but we're also mothers, and that's a bond that can't be broken."
