Every man in the garage had their eyes on her, but she only had eyes for one thing: the sleek, black car that sat in the center of the room. She ran her hand along the smooth surface, her fingers tracing the curves of the body with a lover's touch.
But her moment of peace was interrupted by the arrival of an unwelcome suitor. A man dressed in a dirty coat and torn jeans stumbled towards her, his eyes fixated on her ample cleavage. She responded with a polite "Hi," but her tone made it clear she wasn't interested.
The man slurred a greeting, his breath reeking of alcohol. He tried to stand up straight, but his legs betrayed him and he swayed unsteadily. The woman's eyes narrowed as she took in his disheveled appearance and missing teeth. She mentally rolled her eyes at the audacity of this man.
"Nice car," the man said, attempting to strike up a conversation. But his slurred words and lack of teeth made it difficult for the woman to understand him.
"I'm sorry, I don't speak drunk," the woman said, cutting him off with a playful insult.
The man, undeterred, continued to try and flirt with the woman, but his advances fell flat. She stood before him, strong and in control, her smirk never faltering.
"I'm waiting for someone," she told him, her voice laced with amusement. "And you're not it."
The man, not taking the hint, asked the woman if she was single. She laughed, a loud, genuine laugh that echoed through the garage.
"I'm not interested in a man who can't even keep his pants up," she said, gesturing to the man's falling down jeans.
The man, embarrassed, tried to pull them up, but they were too big. The woman, unable to contain her laughter, burst out laughing at the man's expense.
The man, stung by her rejection, stumbled away, leaving the woman to wait for the person she was actually meeting. She stood by the car, still chuckling, her confidence and control never wavering.
She was a woman who knew what she wanted, and she wasn't afraid to go after it. She was a woman who wasn't afraid to speak her mind, even if it meant hurting someone's feelings. She was a woman who was in charge of her own destiny, and she wasn't about to let anyone stand in her way.
As she waited for her real suitor, she stood tall, her head held high, her eyes fixed on the horizon. She was a force to be reckoned with, a woman who was not to be trifled with. She was a woman who was not to be underestimated. She was a woman who was not to be forgotten.
