Pippin couldn't help but feel small and insignificant next to Gromma. He worried that she would leave him for someone stronger, someone more capable. His thoughts were interrupted as Gromma noticed his nervousness.
"What's wrong, little one?" she asked, her deep voice filled with amusement.
Pippin stuttered, trying to find the right words to express his fears. "I-I just worry that you'll leave me, Gromma. I'm not strong like you, I can't provide for you like you deserve."
Gromma chuckled, amused by Pippin's cuteness. She reassured him, "Pippin, my love, I don't care about your strength or your ability to provide. I love you for who you are. You're the 'big little thing' in my life, and I wouldn't have it any other way."
Pippin looked up at Gromma, his eyes filled with gratitude. He couldn't believe how lucky he was to have someone like her in his life. Gromma leaned down and gave Pippin a kiss on the forehead.
"I'm not going anywhere, Pippin. We'll face any challenges together," she said, her voice filled with sincerity.
Pippin smiled, feeling relieved and loved. He stood up on his tiptoes and wrapped his arms around Gromma's waist, hugging her tightly. Gromma laughed and picked Pippin up, holding him in her arms.
"You're the light of my life, Pippin. And I have a surprise for you," she said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Pippin's heart raced with excitement. He heard Gromma rustling around the room, but he didn't peek. Gromma returned to the bed and sat down next to Pippin. She told him to open his eyes, and when he did, he saw that she was holding a small, intricately carved wooden figurine of an elf.
Pippin's eyes widened with surprise and joy. He took the figurine from Gromma and examined it closely. It was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. Gromma smiled, pleased with Pippin's reaction.
"I made it myself. It's a symbol of my love for you," she said, her voice filled with emotion.
Pippin looked up at Gromma, his eyes filled with tears. "I love you more than anything, Gromma. I'm the luckiest elf in the world," he said, his voice shaking with emotion.
Gromma hugged Pippin tightly, feeling content and happy. She knew that she had found her perfect match in Pippin, and she would never let him go. The night was young, and they had each other. And for Gromma, that was all that mattered.
