The Styx's Sirens: When Persephone and the Gods Eavesdrop on Sisterly Shade-Throwing

Chapter One: The River Styx

The boat glided across the murky waters of the River Styx, carrying two sisters towards the underworld. Persephone, the goddess of spring and death, watched with interest as the sisters, Aniya and Ella, bickered back and forth. The other gods had gathered around to watch the spectacle, chuckling to themselves at the drama unfolding before them.

Persephone leaned in closer, trying to make out the sisters' conversation. She could sense the tension between them, and she was eager to find out what had caused it.

"I can't believe we're here because of you," Ella spat, her eyes blazing with anger.

Aniya tried to interject, but Ella cut her off. "You and your gossiping ways, always stirring up trouble. If it wasn't for you, we would still be alive."

Aniya protested, "I didn't kill us, Ella. You can't blame me for this."

But Ella was on a roll, her anger boiling over. "You might as well have, with all the trouble you caused. If you had just kept your mouth shut, none of this would have happened."

Persephone couldn't help but smirk at the sister's bickering. She turned to the other gods and whispered, "I always knew those two would end up here, arguing until the end of time."

The gods chuckled at Persephone's comment, amused by the drama unfolding before them. Ella continued to berate Aniya, calling her a "chatterbox" and "gossip queen."

Aniya rolled her eyes, muttering under her breath, "At least I didn't get us killed, drama queen."

Persephone couldn't contain her laughter anymore and burst out in a fit of giggles. The other gods followed suit, unable to hold in their amusement. Ella and Aniya glared at the gods, annoyed by their interruption.

Persephone, still chuckling, said, "Oh come on, you two. Lighten up. You're in the underworld now, might as well make the best of it."

Ella scoffed, "Easy for you to say, Persephone. You're the goddess of death. You belong here."

Persephone grinned, "Well, I do have a certain affinity for the underworld. But that doesn't mean we can't have a little fun."

She turned back to the sisters, "How about a little game to pass the time? First one to make the other laugh wins."

Ella and Aniya exchanged skeptical looks, but eventually agreed to Persephone's proposal. The boat ride continued, with Ella and Aniya trying their best to make the other laugh, while the gods looked on in amusement.

Persephone couldn't help but think, "This is definitely going to be an interesting underworld experience."
