Polina's heels clicked against the cobblestones of the dimly lit alleyway, the sound echoing off the brick walls as she walked alone. The city was bustling around her, but here in this alley, she was completely alone. She quickened her pace, her heart beating faster as she heard the sound of footsteps behind her.
"Hey, lady, where are you going in such a hurry?" a voice called out from the darkness.
Polina turned to face her pursuers, three young men who leered at her with hungry eyes. She tried to bluff her way out of the situation, telling them to leave her alone, but they only laughed. The men surrounded Polina, trapping her against the wall. She tried to push them away, but they were too strong.
One of the men reached out to touch her, and Polina slapped him across the face. "You little shits," she spit. "You have no idea who you're messing with."
But the men were beyond reason. They laughed harder as Polina tried to fight back, but there were too many of them. One of the men grabbed her, and she felt his hot breath on her neck. "Please," she begged. "Don't do this."
Just as she felt the man's hand on her, there was a loud crash, and the men scattered. Polina opened her eyes to see a tall, handsome stranger standing over her.
"Are you alright, miss?" he asked, extending a hand to help her up.
Polina took it, feeling a sudden surge of gratitude towards the stranger. "Yes, I think so," she said, her voice shaking.
The stranger smiled, and Polina felt a flutter in her chest. "I'm glad to hear it," he said. "But I think it's best if we get you out of here."
Polina nodded, and the stranger led her out of the alleyway and into the safety of the night. As they walked, Polina couldn't help but feel a sense of attraction towards the stranger.
"Thank you," she said, her voice soft.
The stranger smiled again. "It was nothing," he said. "But I couldn't stand by and watch those scoundrels hurt you."
Polina felt a warmth spread through her body. "You're a true gentleman," she said, her voice filled with admiration.
The stranger laughed. "I try my best," he said.
Polina smiled, feeling a sense of safety and security in the stranger's presence. She knew that she'd never forget this night, and the stranger who saved her from harm.
As they walked, Polina couldn't help but notice the way the stranger's eyes sparkled in the streetlight, and the way his hair fell across his forehead. She felt a pull towards him, a desire to know more about him.
"What's your name?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Alexander," he replied, his voice deep and smooth.
Polina felt a shiver run down her spine. "It's nice to meet you, Alexander," she said.
Alexander smiled, and Polina felt her heart skip a beat. She knew that this was the beginning of something special, something that would change her life forever.
As they continued to walk, Polina couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. She knew that this was just the beginning of their story, and she couldn't wait to see what the future held for her and Alexander.
