Persephone, the queen of the Underworld, watched with interest as the sisters bickered back and forth. She leaned in to her companion, Hades, whispering, "I bet this is going to be a juicy conversation."
Hades chuckled, his deep voice rumbling, "Ah, the joys of family drama, even in the afterlife."
Aniya tried to apologize to Ella, but Ella cut her off, her voice filled with bitterness, "I'm not talking to you. You're the reason we're dead and on our way to the Underworld."
Aniya protested, "Hey, I wasn't the one who killed you."
Ella retorted, "But you're the reason I got stabbed and bled out. You couldn't stop talking shit about other people and I warned you not to say anything. But you did, and they stabbed us, and we bled out. Don't talk to me until we get off this boat and into the Underworld."
Persephone couldn't help but smirk at the exchange, muttering to Hades, "Ella always did have a flair for the dramatic."
Hades raised an eyebrow, "And Aniya always was the peacemaker. This should be interesting."
The sisters continued their heated conversation, with Aniya trying to reason with Ella and Ella refusing to listen. Persephone watched with fascination, her mind racing with the possibilities of what could happen once they reached their destination.
Hades leaned in closer to Persephone, whispering in her ear, "I wonder what they'll think of the Underworld. It's not exactly what they're expecting."
Persephone giggled, "I can't wait to find out."
The boat ride continued, with the sisters' conversation growing more intense by the minute. Persephone and Hades watched with amusement, entertained by the drama unfolding before them.
As the boat approached the shore of the Underworld, Persephone could feel a sense of excitement building within her. She knew that this was just the beginning of a wild and unforgettable adventure.
The boat scraped against the shore, and Charon, the ferryman of the Underworld, gestured for the sisters to disembark. Aniya and Ella stood, their bodies stiff and unsteady.
Persephone stood as well, her eyes locked on the sisters. She couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
"Welcome to the Underworld," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I hope you enjoy your stay."
Ella glared at her, but Aniya offered a small smile. "Thanks," she said. "I'm sure it'll be...interesting."
Persephone chuckled, "Oh, it will be more than just interesting."
As the sisters disappeared into the shadows of the Underworld, Persephone and Hades turned to leave.
"This should be fun," Hades said, his voice filled with excitement.
Persephone nodded, "It will be. I can already tell."
And with that, they disappeared into the darkness, leaving the River Styx behind.
