Chapter 1: Collision of Eras
The air shimmered with an unnatural heat as Darius stepped out of the temporal vortex, his dark, muscular frame glistening under the 1980s sun. He’d done it—traveled back to a time when bell-bottoms were king and disco still ruled the night. His mission was personal, a dare from a friend that turned into an obsession: find Lila, the stunning blonde bombshell who’d become a legend in whispered family stories, and see if the past could handle a man like him.
Lila was everything the rumors promised and more. At twenty-two, she was a vision of untamed beauty—long, golden hair cascading over her shoulders, piercing blue eyes that could cut through a man’s defenses, and a body that screamed confidence in a tight, red halter top and denim shorts. She was leaning against the counter of a retro diner, sipping a milkshake, when Darius walked in. The jukebox played a sultry tune, and the air crackled with unspoken tension.
'Well, damn, stranger, you look like you just walked out of a sci-fi flick,' Lila quipped, her voice dripping with playful challenge as she eyed his modern, fitted shirt and jeans. 'What’s your deal? Lost your spaceship?'
Darius grinned, his white teeth flashing against his dark skin. 'Nah, baby girl, I’m just a man out of time, lookin’ for something... unforgettable. And I think I just found it.'
She raised an eyebrow, unfazed. 'Oh, you think you can handle a woman like me? I chew up smooth talkers like you for breakfast.'
'Good thing I’m not just talk,' he shot back, stepping closer, his presence commanding the small space between them. 'I’m the kind of trouble you didn’t know you needed.'
Lila laughed, a sound that was both sharp and seductive. 'Trouble, huh? I’ve got a nose for that. Let’s see if you can keep up. Meet me out back in ten. Don’t make me wait.'
Ten minutes later, under the flickering neon of the diner’s back alley, the air was thick with anticipation. Lila stood there, arms crossed, her gaze daring him to make a move. Darius didn’t hesitate. He closed the distance, his hand brushing against her cheek, his voice low and hungry. 'You’re playin’ with fire, Lila. I’m not the kind to back down.'
'Good,' she snapped, her eyes blazing. 'I don’t want a boy who backs down. I want a man who takes what he wants—and gives just as good.'
Their lips crashed together, a collision of eras and raw desire. Her hands gripped his shoulders, nails digging in as his strong arms pulled her close, the heat of their bodies igniting something primal. She could feel him, hard against her thigh, and a smirk curled her lips mid-kiss. 'Damn, you weren’t kidding about trouble,' she purred, her voice husky.
Darius chuckled, his breath hot against her neck. 'Baby, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. I’m gonna make this a night you’ll never forget.'
Their hands roamed, desperate and bold, her fingers tracing the lines of his chest while his slid down to grip her ass, pulling her even closer. The alley was their world now, the distant hum of the diner fading as their panting breaths filled the space. She was wet already, the heat between her legs undeniable, and he was rock hard, aching to claim her. The tension built, a storm ready to break, as they stumbled against the brick wall, ready to cross a line that would rewrite history itself.
