Time's Tantalizing Temptress: When Isabela's Hourglass Unveils a Twist of Fate at Camp Half-Blood

Chapter One: The Hourglass Unveiled

The Camp Half-Blood amphitheater was bustling with activity, the warm sun casting a golden glow over the stone seats and stage. Among the demigods, a confident 12-year-old Colombian girl with a sun-kissed complexion and dark brown hair cascading down her shoulders strolled in, her hips swaying to an unheard rhythm. Her name was Isabela, and she was known for her quick wit and sharp tongue.

As she entered, she couldn't help but overhear Percy Jackson, the camp's resident hero, wrestling with a history problem. He was muttering to himself, running his fingers through his unruly blond hair, as he tried to recall a specific date, time, and person. Intrigued, Isabela approached him, her heels clicking against the stone floor.

"Struggling, Percy?" she asked, her voice dripping with amusement.

Percy looked up, surprised, and then grinned. "Isabela, just the person I need. What's the date of the Battle of Actium?"

Isabela raised a perfectly arched eyebrow. "September 2, 31 BC, at noon, fought between the forces of Octavian and the combined fleets of Mark Antony and Cleopatra. Happy now?"

Percy's eyes widened. "Impressive. I think you might be a child of Athena."

As soon as the words left his mouth, an hourglass symbol appeared above Isabela's head, shimmering in the sunlight. The demigods, including Leo, Piper, Annabeth, Percy, Nico, Will, Reyna, Talia, Jason, Frank, and Hazel, gasped in unison.

A booming voice echoed through the amphitheater, causing the very stones beneath their feet to tremble. "Isabela, daughter of Kronos, god of time, you are claimed!"

The amphitheater fell silent, the only sound the distant waves crashing against the shore. Isabela, however, remained unruffled. She glanced at the hourglass symbol, her lips curling into a smirk.

"Who else was expecting the god of time to have such terrible taste?" she asked, her voice laced with playful sarcasm.

Annabeth, slightly annoyed, retorted, "Kronos isn't known for his fashion sense, Isabela. He's known for wanting to destroy the world."

Isabela shrugged. "Well, at least I'll always be fashionably early for the apocalypse, right?"

Percy, trying to lighten the mood, chuckled. "With an attitude like that, I'm sure you'll give Kronos a run for his money."

Nico, intrigued, asked, "What can you do with your powers, Isabela?"

Isabela, with a mischievous grin, replied, "Let's just say I can make time fly, or maybe even stop it altogether."

Leo, always the jokester, quipped, "Just don't use those powers on my homework, or I'll never learn to do it myself!"

Isabela laughed. "Deal, Leo. I'll leave your homework to your own devices... and your own disasters."

The demigods continued to banter and discuss Isabela's newfound heritage, welcoming her to Camp Half-Blood with open arms. And as the sun began to set, casting the amphitheater in hues of pink and orange, it was clear that this was only the beginning of Isabela's extraordinary journey.
