The clanging of metal and the smell of fire filled the room, as Hephaestus worked tirelessly in his workshop. His dark brown hair was disheveled, and his tan skin glistened with sweat. The room was cluttered with half-finished projects, evidence of his constant creativity and inability to sit still.
Poseidon, the god of the sea, walked into the workshop, his blue eyes scanning the room with curiosity. He was dressed in his usual attire, a toga made of the finest silk, and his blonde hair was perfectly styled. He looked out of place in the chaotic workshop.
Hephaestus looked up from his work and handed Poseidon an envelope, a smirk playing on his lips. "I think you'll want to see this," he said.
Poseidon took the envelope with a confused expression. "What is it?"
"It's a letter from Medusa," Hephaestus replied, his smirk growing wider.
Poseidon rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath about "crazy exes." He opened the envelope and began to read the letter.
As he read, his eyes widened in shock. "She had twins?" he asked, disbelief in his voice.
Hephaestus nodded. "A boy and a girl. Both with black hair and green eyes."
Poseidon's eyes scanned the letter again, his mind racing. "And she wants child support?"
Hephaestus chuckled. "I told you, you'd want to see this."
Poseidon threw the letter back at Hephaestus, frustration etched on his face. "Why am I responsible for the twins? I barely even knew her!"
Hephaestus shrugged. "You don't remember that wild night we had with her? I guess the alcohol must have really affected your memory."
Poseidon groaned and ran a hand through his hair. "Regrettable decisions," he muttered.
Hephaestus couldn't help but laugh. "You should be grateful, they're sure to be just as beautiful as their mother."
Poseidon glared at Hephaestus. "Deal with it," he said, before turning to leave.
Hephaestus called after him. "At least meet the twins, they're your flesh and blood."
Poseidon turned back, a playful insult on his lips. "Softie," he said, before leaving the workshop.
Hephaestus chuckled to himself, knowing that this was just the beginning of a long and complicated situation. He put the letter in his pocket, a small smile playing on his lips. He couldn't wait to meet the twins, he was sure they would be able to "wrap him around their little fingers" just like their mother did.
