Chapter 1: The Spark Ignites
Lila Voss leaned against the bar, her crimson dress hugging every curve of her athletic frame, a glass of whiskey dangling from her fingers. At 28, she was a force—sharp-tongued, confident, and unapologetically herself. She owned the room without trying, her dark eyes scanning the crowd at the upscale lounge until they landed on him. Ethan Reed, 22, a shy, lanky guy with tousled brown hair and a nervous smile, sat alone at a corner table, nursing a beer. He was out of place among the sleek, predatory types here, and that intrigued her.
She sauntered over, heels clicking with purpose, and slid into the seat across from him without asking. 'You look like a lost puppy in a den of wolves,' she teased, her voice low and smoky. 'What’s a guy like you doing in a place like this?'
Ethan blinked, his cheeks flushing. 'I, uh, got dragged here by a friend. He ditched me for some girl ten minutes ago.' His voice was soft, almost drowned out by the pulsing music, but there was a raw honesty in it.
Lila smirked, leaning forward, her cleavage just visible enough to make his eyes dart away. 'Poor thing. Lucky for you, I’m in the mood to play savior. Or maybe predator. Depends on how you behave.' She sipped her whiskey, her gaze pinning him in place. 'I’m Lila. And you are?'
'Ethan,' he stammered, rubbing the back of his neck. 'I’m not really… good at this. Talking to women, I mean.'
Her laugh was sharp, cutting through the noise. 'Oh, sweetheart, I can tell. But that’s okay. I like a challenge. And you’ve got this… untouched vibe. It’s kind of hot.' She tilted her head, sizing him up like a cat eyeing a particularly interesting toy. 'Ever been with someone who knows exactly what they want?'
Ethan’s face turned scarlet, his fingers tightening around his beer. 'I, uh, no. I’ve never… I mean, I haven’t—'
'Don’t say it,' she interrupted, her grin wicked. 'I already know. And trust me, that just makes this more fun.' She leaned closer, her breath warm against his ear as she whispered, 'I’m gonna show you things you’ve only dreamed about, Ethan. If you’re brave enough to keep up.'
His breath hitched, and she could see the conflict in his wide eyes—nervousness warring with a growing, desperate curiosity. 'Why me?' he managed to ask, his voice barely a whisper.
'Because I see potential,' Lila purred, her hand brushing his knee under the table, sending a jolt through him. 'And I’m bored with men who think they know everything. I want to mold you. Break you in. You game?'
Ethan swallowed hard, his pulse visibly racing in his neck. 'I… yeah. I think so.'
'Good boy,' she said, standing and offering her hand. 'Let’s get out of here. My place is five minutes away, and I’m not in the mood to wait.'
They barely made it through her apartment door before her hands were on him, pushing him against the wall with a force that made him gasp. Her lips crashed into his, hungry and demanding, as she tugged at his shirt. 'You’re gonna learn fast,' she growled against his mouth, her fingers trailing down to his belt. 'I don’t do slow.'
Ethan’s hands hesitated, trembling as they hovered over her hips. 'I don’t even know what I’m doing,' he admitted, panting already.
Lila chuckled, dark and dangerous, as she yanked his belt free. 'Don’t worry, baby. I’ll teach you how to make me scream. But first, let’s see how hard you can get for me.' Her hand slid lower, and his sharp intake of breath told her everything she needed to know. The night was just beginning, and she was going to unravel him completely.
