Chapter 1: Tension in the Patrol Car
The night shift was always a beast, but for Danya Kudryavtsev, it was a battlefield of nerves. At 26, the lanky blond with shoulder-length hair and wire-rimmed glasses was still finding his footing in the police force. His hands trembled slightly on the steering wheel of the patrol car, the city lights blurring past as he tried to focus. Beside him sat Ernst Moskvina, his 28-year-old partner, a brooding brunette with a jawline sharp enough to cut through the tension in the air. Ernst’s presence was both a comfort and a torment for Danya, who had been nursing a crush on him since day one of his internship.
“You’re gripping that wheel like it’s gonna run away, Kudryavtsev,” Ernst teased, his voice a low rumble as he leaned back in the passenger seat, one arm casually draped over the door. His dark eyes flicked to Danya, catching the faint blush creeping up the younger man’s neck. “Relax. You’re not gonna crash us. Probably.”
Danya’s lips twitched into a nervous half-smile, his glasses slipping down his nose. “I’m trying, okay? Driving’s not my thing. And you staring at me isn’t helping.” His voice was soft, almost a whisper, but there was a flicker of defiance in it. He pushed his glasses up, avoiding Ernst’s gaze.
Ernst chuckled, the sound warm and rough, sending a shiver down Danya’s spine. “Staring? Nah, I’m just making sure my rookie doesn’t drive us into a dumpster. But if I’m distracting you…” He leaned closer, his breath brushing Danya’s ear. “I can stop. Or I can keep going. Your call.”
Danya’s heart slammed against his ribs, his knuckles whitening on the wheel. He wasn’t used to this—Ernst’s easy flirtation, the way the older man’s hand lingered just a little too long on his shoulder during briefings. They’d been dating for a few weeks now, stolen glances and late-night texts turning into something real, but Danya still felt like a deer in headlights every time Ernst got close. “You’re impossible,” he muttered, his voice cracking slightly. “I’m trying to focus, and you’re… you’re being you.”
“Me being me is the best part of your night, admit it,” Ernst shot back, grinning. His hand slid from the door to rest on the console between them, fingers brushing dangerously close to Danya’s thigh. “Come on, Danya. You’ve been wound up tighter than a spring since we started this shift. What’s eating you?”
Danya swallowed hard, his social anxiety clawing at him even as Ernst’s proximity set his skin on fire. “It’s just… I don’t know. I’m not good at this. Any of this. The job, the driving, the—” He cut himself off, cheeks flaming. “You.”
Ernst’s grin softened into something more tender, though his eyes still burned with mischief. “You’re better than you think. And as for me? I’m not going anywhere, rookie. You’ve got me hooked.” His voice dropped lower, a husky edge to it. “Park the car. Now.”
Danya’s breath hitched, but he obeyed, pulling into a dimly lit alley off the main drag. The engine cut off, leaving only the sound of their breathing and the distant hum of the city. He turned to Ernst, his blue eyes wide behind his glasses, a mix of nerves and anticipation swirling in them. “Why’d we stop?”
Ernst didn’t answer with words. Instead, he unbuckled his seatbelt and leaned over, one hand cupping Danya’s jaw as he pulled him into a searing kiss. Danya froze for a split second before melting into it, his usual restraint crumbling under the heat of Ernst’s lips. The kiss was hungry, desperate, a collision of pent-up want that had been building for weeks. Ernst’s fingers threaded through Danya’s blond hair, tugging lightly, while Danya’s hands hesitated before gripping Ernst’s uniform shirt, pulling him closer.
“Fuck, Danya,” Ernst growled against his mouth, his voice rough with need. “You’ve got no idea how long I’ve wanted this.”
Danya’s laugh was shaky but bold, a rare spark of confidence flaring as he nipped at Ernst’s bottom lip. “Then stop talking and show me.” His words surprised even himself, but the way Ernst’s eyes darkened made his pulse race. The older man’s hand slid down Danya’s chest, fingers teasing at the edge of his belt, while Danya’s breath came in short, sharp pants, his body already reacting, hard and aching under the confines of his uniform.
The air in the car was thick with heat, their bodies pressed close in the cramped space, the scent of sweat and desire mingling as Ernst’s hand dipped lower, brushing against Danya’s straining cock through the fabric. Danya gasped, his head tipping back, glasses fogging slightly as he fought to keep control. “Ernst, we’re—fuck, we’re on duty,” he stammered, even as his hips bucked instinctively.
“Fuck duty,” Ernst murmured, his lips trailing down Danya’s neck, teeth grazing the sensitive skin. “Right now, it’s just you and me. And I’m gonna make you forget every damn thing that’s got you tied up in knots.”
Danya’s resolve shattered, his hands fumbling to pull Ernst closer, the promise of release and connection too much to resist. The night was about to get a whole lot hotter, and neither of them cared about the consequences.
