Unveiled Genius

**Chapter 1: The Unexpected Spark**

Kennedy strutted into the lecture hall, her heels clicking with purpose against the tiled floor. As the top student in her engineering cohort, she owned every room she entered, her sharp mind matched only by her sharper tongue. Today, her target was Ethan, the quiet, bespectacled guy who always sat in the back, scribbling notes like his life depended on it. She’d barely noticed him before, but their latest group project had forced her to take a closer look. And damn, there was something about the way his fingers moved over that calculator—precise, confident, almost... sensual.

'Hey, Brainiac,' she called out, dropping her bag next to him with a thud. 'You gonna carry this project, or do I have to drag your nerdy ass through it?'

Ethan looked up, his hazel eyes glinting behind his glasses. A smirk tugged at his lips, surprising her. 'Kennedy, if I didn’t know better, I’d say you’re scared I’ll outshine you. Need me to slow down so you can keep up?'

She laughed, a throaty sound that turned a few heads. 'Oh, please. I eat guys like you for breakfast. Don’t get cocky.'

'Cocky?' He leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms, his voice dropping an octave. 'That’s a dangerous word to throw around, Ken. Might give a guy ideas.'

Her eyebrows shot up. Was this shy little Ethan flirting? A thrill zipped through her, unexpected and electric. She leaned in, her crimson lipstick a stark contrast to her challenging grin. 'Ideas, huh? Didn’t think you had it in you to think about anything but equations.'

He pushed his glasses up, his gaze locking with hers, intense and unyielding. 'You’d be surprised what I’ve got in me. Stick around after class. I’ll show you a formula you won’t find in any textbook.'

Kennedy’s pulse quickened. This wasn’t the Ethan she’d pegged as a pushover. There was a heat in his words, a promise she couldn’t ignore. 'Fine,' she shot back, her voice dripping with challenge. 'But don’t waste my time, nerd. I’ve got high standards.'

The lecture dragged on, but Kennedy barely heard a word. Her mind was on Ethan, on the way his quiet confidence had flipped a switch inside her. When the professor finally dismissed them, she didn’t hesitate. She followed him to the empty study room he’d mentioned, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Inside, Ethan shut the door with a deliberate click, turning to face her. The air between them crackled. 'So,' he said, stepping closer, his voice low and rough. 'Still think I’m just a nerd?'

Kennedy smirked, closing the distance, her body inches from his. She could feel the heat radiating off him, and it made her skin tingle. 'Prove me wrong, Ethan. Show me what you’re packing under all that shy boy bullshit.'

His hand slid to her waist, pulling her against him with a strength she hadn’t expected. She gasped, feeling the hard press of him through his jeans, and her smirk widened. 'Well, damn,' she purred, her fingers trailing down his chest. 'Looks like you’ve been hiding a hell of a lot more than a brain.'

Their lips crashed together, hungry and fierce, as the room seemed to shrink around them. Kennedy’s hands were everywhere, tugging at his shirt, while Ethan’s grip on her hips tightened, pulling her closer. She could feel herself getting wet, the anticipation dripping through her as they stumbled toward the desk, ready to unleash everything they’d been holding back.
