In the corner of the room, a small voice suddenly cut through the din, drawing the attention of the entire assembly. All eyes turned to the television perched in the corner, where a young child sat enraptured by the battle unfolding on the screen. The child, a little girl with brown hair and bright, curious eyes, cooed and babbled excitedly as she watched the superheroes Omni and Wildcard locked in combat with their latest villains.
"Mommy! Daddy!" the child exclaimed, pointing a chubby finger at the screen.
The gods and goddesses froze in place, stunned into silence by the child's words. Apollo, the god of prophecy, was the first to speak. "By the rivers of Styx, the child is correct. The mortals on the screen are none other than Omni and Wildcard themselves!"
Apollo's revelation sent the room into an uproar of laughter and disbelief. The gods and goddesses burst into laughter, amused by the irony of the most powerful beings in the world having a mortal child.
Ares, the god of war, playfully insulted the superheroes, questioning their ability to protect their daughter. "Ha! So the mighty Omni and Wildcard have been brought low by the chains of mortality. Tell me, how do they expect to protect their child when they cannot even protect themselves?"
Hera, the queen of the gods, expressed her concern for the child's safety among the mortals. "I fear for the child's well-being. The mortal world is a dangerous place, full of chaos and destruction. She deserves to be raised in a place of safety and security."
Zeus, the king of the gods, nodded in agreement. "You speak the truth, my dear. The child cannot be allowed to remain in the mortal world. We must test her parents, to see if they are worthy of such a divine charge."
The gods and goddesses agreed, and the television showed Omni and Wildcard a message from Olympus, challenging them to prove their worth. The superheroes accepted the challenge, and the gods watched in anticipation as they made their way to Olympus.
The superheroes arrived, and the gods and goddesses tested their abilities, pushing them to their limits. Omni and Wildcard proved their strength and worth, and the gods and goddesses were impressed.
Hera, still concerned for Marie's safety, proposed that the child be raised on Olympus, protected by the immortals. "My lord Zeus, I implore you. Let us take the child into our care, and raise her among the gods. She will be safe here, and we will ensure that she receives the best education and training that the divine realms have to offer."
Zeus agreed, and the superheroes reluctantly agreed, wanting what's best for their daughter. "Very well," Omni said, his voice heavy with emotion. "If it is the will of the gods, then we will entrust our daughter to your care."
The gods and goddesses celebrated, and the chapter ended with Marie being welcomed into the arms of the immortals. She was passed from one divine being to another, each one showering her with affection and adoration. And as she gazed up at the faces of her new family, it was clear that she was where she belonged.
