Lincoln Loud couldn't sleep. He lay in his bed, staring at the ceiling, as his mind raced with thoughts of Maria Santiago. Bobby and Ronnie Anne's mother was the object of his affection, and he couldn't shake her from his thoughts. With a sigh, he got out of bed and made his way to his desk, pulling out a piece of paper and a pencil.
He started doodling, his pencil gliding across the page as he drew Maria's face. He added hearts and flowers around it, a testament to his growing feelings. A noise outside caught his attention, and he moved to the window to look. There she was, getting out of her car after a long day of work.
Lincoln hid as he watched her walk to the house, feeling a strong desire to talk to her, to make her notice him. The next day, he saw his opportunity in the kitchen. Maria was making breakfast for Bobby and Ronnie Anne, and Lincoln took a deep breath before approaching her.
"Good morning, Mrs. Santiago," he said, trying to sound cool. Maria looked at him and smiled.
"Good morning, Lincoln. How are you?" she asked. Lincoln stammers, trying to find the right words.
"I'm good... I mean, I'm fine. I just wanted to say... you look really nice today," he said, blushing. Maria laughed softly and patted him on the head.
"Thank you, Lincoln. You're such a sweet boy," she said. Lincoln felt a mix of frustration and determination. He wanted Maria to see him as more than just a kid.
He started helping out around the house, doing chores and errands for Maria. He even offered to babysit Bobby and Ronnie Anne. Maria was surprised but grateful for Lincoln's help. She started spending more time with him, talking and laughing.
One day, Lincoln decided to make a move. He invited Maria to have lunch with him at the park. Maria agreed, amused by Lincoln's boldness. They sat on a bench, eating sandwiches and talking. Lincoln felt a strong attraction towards Maria, and he could see that she felt the same.
Suddenly, Lincoln leaned in and kissed Maria. She was taken aback but quickly responded, kissing him back. They continued kissing, their hands exploring each other's bodies. Lincoln's crush had turned into something more, and he couldn't wait to see where it would lead.
"Wow, Lincoln," Maria said, breaking the kiss. "I didn't see that coming."
Lincoln grinned, feeling more confident than ever. "I know, I've been wanting to do that for a while now," he said.
Maria raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? And how long has this been going on?"
Lincoln shrugged, feeling shy again. "Just... a few days, I guess," he said.
Maria laughed. "Well, you certainly know how to make an impression. I have to admit, I've been thinking about you too."
Lincoln's heart skipped a beat. "Really?"
Maria nodded. "Really. You're a sweet boy, Lincoln. And I think you're going to be quite the ladies' man when you grow up."
Lincoln blushed at the compliment. "Thanks, Mrs. Santiago. I mean, Maria."
Maria smiled. "You're welcome. Now, let's finish our lunch before it gets cold."
They continued eating, their conversation flowing easily. Lincoln couldn't believe what had just happened, but he knew one thing for sure - he was definitely smitten with Maria Santiago.
