Valentine's Forbidden Flame

Valentine's Forbidden Flame

Chapter 1: A Dangerous Dance

Tyler had always been the rock of the family since his father’s passing, stepping into shoes far too big for a 22-year-old. But tonight, on Valentine’s Day, he wasn’t just the man of the house—he was a man with a mission. The living room was a sea of crimson and pink, heart-shaped balloons bobbing lazily in the air, candles flickering with a warm, seductive glow. He’d sent his younger siblings off for a sleepover, leaving the house empty except for the electric tension he planned to ignite.

Brittany, his mother, walked through the door after a long day at work, her tired eyes widening at the sight. At 42, she was still a knockout—curves in all the right places, a sharp wit that could cut glass, and a laugh that could melt steel. She stopped dead, her purse slipping to the floor. 'What the hell, Ty? Did Cupid throw up in here or what?'

Tyler grinned, leaning against the doorway in a crisp white shirt, sleeves rolled up to show off forearms that had grown strong from years of hard work. 'Only the best for my favorite lady. Happy Valentine’s Day, Mom. Dinner’s on me tonight.'

She snorted, kicking off her heels. 'A date with my son? You’ve got to be kidding me. What’s next, you gonna propose with a candy heart?'

'Don’t tempt me,' he shot back, his voice dripping with playful charm. 'I’ve got moves you haven’t seen yet. Now go get changed—something sexy, if you’ve got it. I’m not eating steak with you in a pantsuit.'

Brittany rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her smirk as she headed upstairs. 'You’re ridiculous, you know that? Fine, but this better be the best damn steak of my life.'

When she returned in a sleek red dress that hugged every inch of her, Tyler’s breath caught. He didn’t hide it, either. 'Damn, Ma, you trying to give me a heart attack? You look like trouble.'

'Watch it, kid,' she teased, pointing a finger as she sat across from him at the candlelit table. 'I’m still your mother, not some Tinder date.'

But as the night wore on, through bites of perfectly seared steak and sips of wine, the air shifted. Tyler’s flirtations grew bolder, his eyes lingering on her lips, her neck, the way her dress dipped just low enough to tease. 'You’ve been down lately,' he said, voice softer now, serious. 'I just wanted to remind you that you’re still the most incredible woman I know. Let’s dance.'

Brittany laughed, waving him off. 'Dance? What is this, a prom? I’m not slow-dancing with my son.'

'Come on, humor me,' he pressed, standing and offering a hand. 'One song. I’ll even let you lead.'

She sighed dramatically but took his hand, letting him pull her close as a slow, sultry melody filled the room. Their bodies moved in sync, closer than they should’ve been, his hand firm on her lower back. Then, with a smooth maneuver, Tyler sank onto the sofa, guiding her to straddle his lap. Her dress rode up slightly, and she froze, eyes narrowing.

'What do you think you’re doing, mister?' she asked, her tone sharp but laced with amusement.

'Just getting comfortable,' he replied, his hands resting on her hips, his smirk devilish. 'How about a kiss to seal the night? Valentine’s Day tradition.'

Brittany barked a laugh, leaning back. 'You’re out of your damn mind. A kiss? What’s next, you gonna ask for a lap dance?'

'Only if you’re offering,' he quipped, his voice low, daring. 'Come on, just one. A little peck. I promise I won’t bite… unless you want me to.'

She hesitated, her lips twitching into a reluctant smile. 'Fine. One kiss. One. And then you’re sleeping on the couch for even suggesting this, you little perv.'

Tyler didn’t wait for her to change her mind. He leaned in, his lips crashing against hers with a hunger that caught her off guard. It wasn’t a peck—it was a full-on, toe-curling kiss, his tongue teasing hers as his hands slid down to grip her ass, pulling her tighter against him. Brittany gasped into his mouth, then pulled back with a breathless laugh.

'Okay, Casanova, that’s enough,' she said, swatting his chest. 'You’re getting no more out of me tonight. I’m not that easy.'

But Tyler’s grip didn’t loosen, his eyes dark with something dangerous, something primal. 'Oh, I think you’re just getting started,' he murmured, pulling her back in as she let out a playful protest, her hands pushing against his shoulders but not hard enough to mean it. The heat between them was undeniable, a forbidden spark ready to explode into a wildfire.
