The Angelini Mansion, Living Room
Davina sauntered into the living room, a playful smirk on her lips as she tossed her book onto the coffee table. "Anything good to read, boss?" she asked, her green eyes sparkling with mischief.
Gabriel looked up from his paperwork, his blue eyes meeting Davina's. He raised an eyebrow, "Only if you're interested in financial reports, Davina."
She rolled her eyes, "Of course you would say that. Boring, boring, boring." She plopped down next to him, their legs brushing against each other.
Gabriel's smirk turned into a full-blown smile, "You think I'm boring, huh?" He leaned closer to her, his hand reaching out to playfully tuck a strand of her red hair behind her ear.
Davina felt a shiver run down her spine at his touch. She looked at him, her eyes serious, "No, Gabriel. I don't think you're boring at all."
Gabriel's smile faded, replaced by a look of confusion. He searched Davina's face, "Then what is it, Davina?"
Davina took a deep breath, "I want to know...do you love me?" She asked the question softly, but her green eyes were direct and challenging.
Gabriel was taken aback by her question. He looked at her, his blue eyes filled with surprise. "What...what brought this on?" he stammers.
Davina raised an eyebrow, "Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact that you took my virginity tonight and have been protective and possessive of me ever since?"
Gabriel's face turned serious, "Davina, it's not that simple."
Davina felt a pang of disappointment, but she didn't let it show on her face. She looked at him, her green eyes filled with determination, "Then make it simple, Gabriel."
Gabriel looked at her, his blue eyes filled with emotions he couldn't name. He took a deep breath, "Davina, I..."
Davina interrupted him, "Don't say it if you don't mean it, Gabriel."
Gabriel looked at her, his face serious. He took her hand in his, "Davina, I care for you deeply. More than I ever thought possible."
Davina felt a warmth spread through her at his words. She looked at him, her green eyes softening, "Is that your way of saying you love me, Gabriel?"
Gabriel smiled, "Yes, Davina. That's my way of saying I love you."
Davina felt a weight lifted off her shoulders. She leaned closer to him, her green eyes shining with happiness, "I love you too, Gabriel."
Gabriel pulled her closer, his arms wrapping around her. He looked at her, his blue eyes filled with love, "I'm glad, Davina. I'm so glad."
Davina smiled, her head resting on his shoulder. She closed her eyes, feeling content and happy.
As they sat there, their bodies entwined, Davina couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. She had asked for what she wanted, and she had gotten it. She had taken control of the situation and had gotten the answer she had been looking for.
And as she listened to Gabriel's heartbeat, she knew that this was just the beginning of their love story.
