The Angelini Mansion was filled with the soft sounds of Mikey's laughter as he played with his toys on the plush carpet. Davina sat on the couch, her eyes following his every move. She loved watching him play, his innocence and joy were contagious.
Gabriel entered the room, his mind preoccupied with work. But as he saw Davina watching Mikey, a small smile played on his lips. He walked over to her, leaning against the armrest of the couch.
"Hey, beautiful," he said, trying to shake off his distractions.
Davina turned to him, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Gabriel, do you love me?"
The question caught him off guard, and he hesitated before responding. "Davina, you know I care about you."
She pouted, playfully insulting him. "Oh, so I'm just another notch on your belt, huh? A smooth talker and a heartbreaker."
Gabriel chuckled, running his fingers through his hair. "You know that's not true. I have feelings for you, Davina, but I'm not sure if it's love yet."
Davina rolled her eyes, teasing him. "Oh, so you're cautious now? After all the women you've been with, you're suddenly scared of commitment?"
Gabriel sighed, looking at her with a serious expression. "My past experiences have made me hesitant to use the word 'love'. I don't want to throw it around lightly."
Davina nodded, understanding his hesitation. "I get it, Gabriel. But I want you to open up more to me. I want to know what you're thinking."
Gabriel looked at her, his eyes softening. "I've never felt this way about anyone before, Davina. You make me want to be a better man."
Davina smiled, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "That's a start, Gabriel."
Gabriel turned the tables on her, asking, "Do you love me, Davina?"
She teased him, saying, "I'm not ready to label my feelings yet, Gabriel. You'll just have to keep working for it."
Gabriel jokingly threatened to spank her for being difficult. She laughed and challenged him to try. Gabriel pulled her onto his lap and they shared a passionate kiss, their bodies melting into each other.
Mikey interrupted them, needing help with his toys. Davina got up to help him, but not before giving Gabriel a playful wink. Gabriel watched her with Mikey, feeling a sense of warmth and happiness.
Davina returned to the couch and snuggled up next to Gabriel. Gabriel wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer. They sat in comfortable silence, enjoying each other's company.
The night ended with Davina falling asleep on Gabriel's shoulder, feeling content and protected. Gabriel looked down at her, his heart swelling with emotion. He may not have been ready to say the word 'love', but he knew that he was falling for her, harder and faster with each passing day.
