War and Desire: When Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, Chooses to Keep Her Half-God Twins, Annabeth and Telemachus, Defying Zeus's Abortion Demand and Hercules's Casanova Reputation

Chapter One: A Goddess's Secret

The grand throne room of Mount Olympus was filled with the chatter of gods and goddesses, all dressed in their finest attire. But the room fell silent as Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom, stepped forward. She fidgeted with the hem of her dress, avoiding eye contact with anyone, least of all her father, Zeus.

Zeus, noticing her nervousness, boomed, "Athena, what is it that you wish to tell me?"

Athena took a deep breath and admitted, "Father, I am with child."

A gasp echoed through the room as the other deities present reacted to the unexpected news. Hera, Zeus's wife, narrowed her eyes and snidely remarked, "Well, well, well. It seems our wise Athena has finally let her guard down."

Athena retorted, "I may have let my guard down, Hera, but I have not lost my sense of wisdom. I know who the father is."

Zeus's face darkened as Athena revealed, "Hercules is the father of my child."

Hera scoffed, "Hercules? That buffoon? How could you, Athena?"

Athena shot back, "I may have underestimated him, Hera, but that does not make him any less of a man."

Zeus, trying to control his anger, demanded, "Athena, you will get an abortion. This is not acceptable."

Athena stood tall and declared, "No, father. I will not. This is my child, and I will see it through."

Hera sneered, "You are a goddess, Athena. You cannot raise a child on your own."

Athena retorted, "I may be a goddess, Hera, but I am also a warrior. I will raise my child with strength and wisdom."

Zeus, seeing the determination in Athena's eyes, relented and declared, "Fine. But you will raise the child away from the palace."

Athena nodded in agreement, "I understand, father. I will raise my child in a place where they can learn and grow."

The room remained silent for a moment, before Hera broke the tension. "You may be able to fool Zeus, Athena, but do not think you can fool me. You will regret this decision, and I will be there to watch."

Athena simply smiled and replied, "I look forward to it, Hera. For I will raise my child to be a god among men, just like their father."

And with that, Athena turned and left the throne room, leaving the other gods and goddesses to whisper and gossip amongst themselves. But Athena paid them no mind, for she had a secret, a goddess's secret, and she would not let anyone take that away from her.
