The Aphrodite cabin was buzzing with activity, the sound of laughter and gossip filling the air. But amidst all the noise, Selina sat quietly in the corner, lost in her thoughts. Her cabin mates had noticed her distant behavior, but none of them dared to approach her.
That was until Ava, Selina's feisty redheaded best friend, made her way over to her. "Hey, Selina, everything okay?" she asked, her brow furrowed with concern.
Selina hesitated for a moment before finally admitting, "I have something to tell you guys."
Ava's eyes widened with curiosity. "What is it?"
Selina pulled Ava aside, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm pregnant."
Ava's jaw dropped, but she quickly recovered and pulled Selina into a tight hug. "Oh my gods, Selina! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you!"
Selina smiled weakly, feeling a mix of emotions. "I still need to tell Charles."
Ava nodded. "You should tell him as soon as possible. He has a right to know."
Selina took a deep breath and made her way to the forge, where Charles was working on a new statue for her. She found him hammering away at a piece of metal, his brow furrowed in concentration.
"Charles," she began, her voice shaking slightly.
He looked up, his hammer still in hand. "Hey, Selina. What's up?"
She took another deep breath before blurting out, "I'm pregnant."
Charles' hammer clattered to the ground, his eyes wide with shock. But then, he quickly recovered and pulled Selina into a tight embrace. "Oh my gods, Selina. Are you okay? Is the baby okay?"
Selina nodded, feeling tears prick at the corners of her eyes. "I think so. I've only just found out."
Charles looked relieved, but then his expression turned serious. "We need to tell your parents. And we need to make plans."
Selina nodded, feeling grateful for Charles' support. They spent the rest of the day making plans for the future and enjoying each other's company.
A few days later, Selina's baby bump was starting to show. She had been careful to keep it hidden, but a son of Demeter noticed and spread the news to the rest of the camp.
The Aphrodite cabin was abuzz with the news, and Selina's cabin mates couldn't stop talking about it. Some were supportive, while others were judgmental and cruel.
Selina overheard some of the girls making snide comments about her and her pregnancy. She felt hurt and angry, but also determined to prove them wrong.
She stood up and addressed the cabin, her voice strong and clear. "I'm proud to be pregnant," she said. "And I know Charles will be an amazing father. I challenge all of you to support me and to be kinder to each other."
The cabin fell silent, and then one by one, the girls stood up and apologized to Selina. They promised to be there for her and to help her in any way they could.
Selina smiled, feeling relieved and grateful. She knew that she had a long road ahead of her, but she was ready to face it with the support of her friends and boyfriend by her side.
As the day came to an end, Selina and Charles sat together by the fire, holding hands and looking forward to the future. They knew that there would be challenges ahead, but they were ready to face them together.
Selina looked up at the stars and thought about the baby growing inside of her. She couldn't wait to meet him or her and to start this new chapter of her life.
She leaned her head on Charles' shoulder, feeling happy and content. She knew that she had made the right decision and that everything would work out in the end.
